She made her home Robert VanSlyke Rites Tomorrow Services for Robert Lee VanSlyke, 39, former Indianapolis paint contractor, will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the Harry W. Moore Peace Chapel. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery Oaklandon. Mr.

VanSlyke died Thursday in Ft. where he had lived since leaving here tour years ago. He was a native of Indianaipolis. Surviving Mr. VanSlyke are the widow, Denzel; four sons, Robert Earl Denny and Danny; a daughter, Diane; two brothers, Albert F.

and Freddie, all of Ft Worth, and three sisters, Sarah Dalrymple, Oaklandon, and Juanita J. Neal and Mrs. Frankie Ward, both of Indianapolis. Edward Umholtz Edward Roy Umholtz. 37, 932 E.

Morris, will be buried Wednesday after 3 p.m. services in the G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home. Burial will be in Washington Park.

Mr. Umholtz was found dead in St. Louis Saturday. He was a truck driver. Survivors include a son Ray-nold and two sisters, Edith Ma-vlty and Edna Shelby, all of w- I Jk i i Indianapolis' oldest known practicing attorney, Omer S.

Whiteman, 80, died yesterday surrounded by his family at his residence, 2624 E. Washington. He had been ill more than a year. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan Mortuary, with burial in Portland.

A graduate of Indiana University Law School, Mr. White-man was the founder of the Illinois and 30th Street Businessmen's Association, was an organizer of the Irvington Businessmen's Association and served as the latter group's secretary many years. Born in Kingston, he spent his early life in Decatur County. He started practicing law in Portland where he met and married the former Minnie Lanter. In 1911 he moved to a rural residence near Clermont and established a law office in Indianapolis, where he continued an active practice until his illness.

He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge, served as deacon in the Presbyterian Church at Portland, and attended the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church here the with her daughter here. f-Services will Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Lizton Christian Church, with burial in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Lizton. Surviving Mrs. Leak, jp addition to the daughter, are a brother, Otto Kirtley, Lizton; one grandchild, one greatgrandchild and one great-greatgrandchild.

Vivian Edley Services for Vivian Beatrice Edley, 49, who died Saturday in her home, 803 Pace, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mt. Olive Baptist Church, will burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Stuart Mortuary after 1 p.m. OMER S.

WHITEMAN law practice ends last 25 years. He also was a member of Sigma Nu social fraternity. Surviving besides the widow are two sons, Robert L. White-man and George F. Whiteman; a daughter, Mrs.

Joseph T. Ackerman, Toledo, and a sister, Mrs. Otis A. Deem, Greens-burg. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon tomorrow.

Joseph B. Epstein, 4549 Washington died in Methodist Hospital after a short illness. He was a buyer and merchandise manager for Strauss'. A native of Greenland, Mr. Epstein came here 50 years ago.

He started work with the department store as an errand boy at the age of 15. Fifteen years ago he was named manager of the men's clothing de-partment and a director of the company. He was a member of the board of directors of Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, a member of B'nai B'rith, Broadmoor Country Club, the Variety Club, Columbia Club, Indianapolis Sales Executives Council and Monument Masonic Lodge. Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Indianapolis Hebrew Temple, with burial in Beth-El Cemetery.

Survivors include the widow, Clara; a son, Donald, a student at Butler University, and tnree sisters, Mrs. Sam Halpern, Mrs. Leon Frank and Elizabeth Saperstein, all of Indianapolis. Friends may call at the Aaron-Ruben Funeral Home until 10:30 a.m. tomorrow.

She lived at 1109 Illinois. William H. Lee Services for Willinm H. Lee, T7, 811 S. Noble, will be held In Flanner Buchanan Mortuary tomorrow at 2 p.m., with burial in Floral Park Cemetery.

Mr. Lee died Saturday lh Long Hospital after a brief lilt, jwss. Survivors include widow, Mrs. Glm Yon Lee, two daughters and three sons. VV I.
