traffic Advanced technology can cause some traffic problems unless drivers understand how to use the technology to their advantage. A line of vehicles delayed at a stop light on Harrison Avenue in Centralia Wednesday night reportedly gave passing policemen the impression that the light was malfunctioning, a spokesman for the city engineer's office said. The spokesman said a driver apparently didn't stop his or her car close enough to the stop line, which covers a detector loop. The detector loop actuates the light to keep traffic flowing smoothly. He advised drivers to stop with bumpers of their vehicles reaching just across the white stop stripes.
