I really don't have any-business in this business. When everything you own is in some race cars out there on the track, the strain is pretty great. Maybe I'd do better if I were just working for somebody else, taking care of one certainly not more than two cars. Engines alone can keep one man busy in our garage. I put every one of these engines together.

Nobody else ever touched them. If I want a rrank shaft I call up Louie Meyer and tell him I want a crank shaft, then when it's ready I go out and get it. I put it in. We feel these "270s are just right for this race. I remember when I dpcided to change.

I had one of Miller's 255s and changed the bore and stroke to make it 270. I guess that, was the beginning of the 270 engine. They're all based on Harry's old patterns which Mover owns now. He keeps improving them. Twenty-two years at Indianapolis.

Cliff Bergere and Chet Miller have been around longer than that, I guess. But here I am, with four cars. And I spent fixing up two of 'em. Now I'm $10,000 in the red. But I like this part of the country.

Think I'll sell my house in California and move out this way. I'd be nearer the main tent then.
