The arrests were the result of information provided by a viewer who called the show's toll-free Telecenter telephone number. The couple are suspects in the death of Julius' sister, Jessie, and the 1988 disappearance of Hall Luther Gordon. In addition, Patterson and Hite were wanted on various federal and local charges including armed robbery and social security fraud. As profiled on "Unsolved Mysteries" in September 1991, a telephone tip led Philadelphia homicide detectives to the discovery of the body of Jessie Patterson.
