Mrs. verrill was a resident of the Calumet Region for 64 years and a member of All Saints Catholic Church. Instructor dies GARY Maryann Jimerson, an instructor at Horace Mann High School, died Monday at Methodist Hospitals Southlake Campus. She was 39. Jimerson was president of the Eta Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and a member of the Maude B.

Herring Chapter 57 of the Order of the Eastern Stars, Prince Hall Affiliate. She served as director of children at St. Mark AME Zion Church and was also a member of Alpha Alpha Rho. She is survived by her husband, Richard; one daughter, Candice; one son, Cameron; her parents, Thomas and Johnnie Mae Gibbs of Sacramento, three sisters, Stephanie Hall, Sacramento; Cynthia Lloyd, Oakley, and Kathleen Gibbs of Hollywood; two brothers, Thomas Gibbs Jr. and Anthony Gibbs, both of Sacramento; a grandfather, McKinley Gibbs of South Bend; numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Mark AME Zion Church, 42 Alder East Chicago. The Rev. Alvin Durant will officiate.

Burial will be in the Fern Oaks Cemetery in Griffith. Visitation will be today from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hinton-Williams Funeral Home, 4859 Alexander East Chicago, and at St. Mark AME Zion Church from 7 p.m.

to 9 p.m. Services held CROWN POINT Joseph Carabin, a former Gary police commissioner, died Tuesday. He was 72. A former court bailiff, Carabin was a member of St. Casimir Church, the Slovak Club, Gary Sportsman's Club and Gary Moose Lodge 783.

He was a past-president of Teamsters Local 142. He is survived by a daughter, Dolores Demetrakis; a son, Jerry Carabin; two granddaughters, Mary T. Kasarda and Katherine McMahan; a brother, John Karabin; five sisters, Irene Bonner, Helen Gobla, Pauline Byrum, Betty Peters and Margaret Karbutowski; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. ADAMS, CORINNE Adams, Corinne age 79 of Whiting, Indiana passed away Tuesday, March 10, 1987 at St. Margaret Hospital.

Davis practiced law for 52 years. She was born September 5, 1906 at Roann. Indiana, the daughter of Rev. Charles H. Smith, the Pastor of the local Methodist Church and Ruth L.

Smith; graduated from DePaul University in 1927 where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority ana Mortarboard, a women's honary sorority; and received a Master's Degree from Northwestern University in 1931. While living in Gary, she was active in the Methodist Church; President of the Gary Women's Club; and a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and Tri Kappa Sorority. Witvoet, John age 76 of Lansing. Illinois born April 27, 1910 passed away Thursday, March 12, 1987 at South Suburban Hospital.

Ex-teacher dies at 79 WHITING Corinne Deputy Adams, a former Whiting school teacher and the widow of former Whiting High School Coach James Adams, died Tuesday at St. Margaret Hospital.

She was 79. Adams taught in the school system for 20 years. She was a member of the P.E.O., the Tri Kappa Sorority, and the Tri Delta Sorority as well as the Whiting Historical Society and the Whiting United Methodist Church. She served on the Memorial Committee and the Serving Circle of the church. Adams was also a member of the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by a son, James E. Adams; a daughter, Beth Cameron; a brother, Sherrill S. Deputy; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled be at 10 a.m., Saturday at the Whiting United Methodist Church. The Rev.
