Robert Shearer; and many cousins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents: Oscar and Alice Mason. Dorothy was a lifetime member of Post 5365 VFW Auxiliary, and member of SMMC Auxiliary. She graduated from Hobart High School in 1945 and was a member of First Christian Church of Hobart. Dorothy was retired from GTE.

Visitation at the funeral home on Friday from p.m. Mark Vine was born on March 27, 1933 to Jacob and Kata (Bensic) Vine and was a lifelong resident of Whiting. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting and the Croatian Fraternal Union, BR. 57.

Mark was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, attaining the rank of Corporal and was an MP in Korea. Mark was a member of the American Legion, Whiting Post 80 (memorial service, Friday at 6:30 p.m). He was a retiree of the Lever Bros. Company, Hammond with a service of 35 years and was a member of the Lever Bros.

Quarter Century Club. Mark loved the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and feeding the swans on Wolf Lake. Mark also became active in their care and had rescued several of them; he became known as the "swan Mark had coached Robertsdale Little League Girl's Softball for many years, taking them to and winning two state championships. His greatest joy was his daughters and watching them play sports as well as now his grandchildren's activities.

She was born March 5, 1915 in Sedalia, MO to William and Laura Jaekel. On March 25, 1933 she married Joseph Wands who preceded her in death on February 11, 2001. Mimi was blessed with eight grandchildren and 14 great -grandchildren, who will miss her very much.
