Banks, 59, of South formerly of Harvey, IL passed away Tuesday, October 20,1998. He is survived by three daughters, Barb (Sam) Carlson, Donna Marie Banks and Jackie Banks; one son, Alan Moore; five grandchildren, wife, Jo; two brothers, Harry (Virginia) Banks and Delmar (Carol) nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Robbie.

and 7 to 9 p.m. James Martin Crumpacker Bloomington Valparaiso James Martin Crumpacker, 40, of Bloomington, Indiana, died on Monday, October 19, 1998 in the Bloomington Hospital Oncology Unit after a 5 year battle with brain cancer. Born February 4, 1958 in Valparaiso, Indiana, he was the son of William Peter a and Louise Behlen Crumpacker. He was in marketing management, traveling extensively to Indonesia and Central America. He was instrumental in American Field Service exchange programs.

Survivors include his parents of Chesterton, IN; his siblings, Janeen Overman of Ft. Myers, FL, Peter of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, Barbara Crumpacker Niedner of Valparaiso, IN, Patricia Crumpacker Sisamis of Evansville, IN, nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Preceded in death by his sister, Donna Dillingham. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Duff (nee Hostetler), 82, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 1998 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. She is survived by one son, Ron D. (Patricia Duff of Indianapolis, IN; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Roy F. Duff, on May 21, 1987.

Lakes of Four Seasons Hobart Arthur J. Des Rosiers, P.D., 71, formerly of Lakes of the Four Seasons, a Hobart resident for 10 years. Arthur was born in Massena, New York August 26, 1927 and passed away Wednesday, October 21, 1998. Survivors are one son, Roger B. Des Rosiers of Hobart; one sister, Irene Knotts Tupiak of Lake Eliza.

Preceded in death by his parents, Albert Des Rosiers Sr. and Aneda Des Rosiers Trella and two brothers, Raymond and Albert Des Rosiers. Funeral services Saturday, October 24, 1998 at 7:30 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, (corner of 101st Broadway), Point Chapel with cremation to follow at the Burns Funeral Home Crematory. Friends may call on Saturday from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

He was a very dedicated member of the Chorus of the Dunes; member of Northwest Indiana Pharmacist Association; veteran of U.S.

Air Force, Staff Sergeant; graduate of Hammond High School and Purdue University. Arthur was a self employed Pharmacist serving the Northwest Indiana community for 45 years. He was the owner of Arthur's Pharmacy in Gary, Merrillville, and Lakes of the Four Seasons. Ethel Marie Douthett Highland Ethel passed away at her home in Highland on Wednesday afternoon, October 21, 1998. Ethel lived her life peacefully and serenely for all of her 97 years.

She went to be with her Lord as she lived her life with quiet dignity. Survived by three nieces, Trellis (Leroy) Smith of Florida, Leonore Michaels of Indiana and Irma Downs of Highland; five great nephews, Richard (Judy) Downs of Dyer, Robert (Susan) Downs of Dyer, Mark (Sue) Downs of Florida, Timothy (Sue) Vander Tuuk of MerrilIville and Mike (Laurel) Vander Tuuk of Schererville; two great nieces, Grace (John) Kaznak of Highland and Doris (Philip) Cox of Griffith; great great niece, Rev. Elizabeth (Dan) Trexler of Kentucky; several great and great great nieces and nephews, one brother-in-law, Ivan Gatlin of Griffith; two sisters-in-law, Ora Bell Coffman and Mary Douthett, both of Griffith. Preceded in death by husband Harold who was an attorney, and sister, Hazel Eckels. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 24, 1998 at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Douthett was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Highland and member of the Martha Circle at the church, the Women's Home Demonstration in Highland and retired school teacher at Main School and Orchard School in Highland with excess of 25 years. Delbert W. Fischer Crown Point Delbert W. Fischer, 84, of Crown passed away Tuesday, October 20,1998, at Colonial Nursing Home.

Survived by wife, Ruth; three daughters, Virginia (Clay) Arndt of Crown Point, Joyce (Chet) Midgett of Merrillville and Gloria (John) Jewett of Thayer; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; preceded in death by Sister, Florence Mager. Fleming Valparaiso Raymond J.Fleming, 81, of Valparaiso, away Wednesday, October 21,1998 at his residence. He was born August 14, 1917 in Chicago and was the son of Joseph and Marie (O'Connor) Fleming. He was a South Haven resident for 16 of Illinois.

He was married to Lillian (Cyman) Fleming, she preceded him in death May 12, 1975. He was a roller for Inland Steel and attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Mr. Fleming is survived by three daughters, Rosalie (Stanley) Thompson of Mississippi, Kathleen (Timothy) Carr of Illinois and Sharon (Walter) Kniola of South Haven; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Louise Groat of Florida; he was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son and one sister. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24, 1998, at 10 o'clock am at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Father Doug Mayer officiating.

Interment, will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City. John D. "Doug" Fleming Crown Point was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church in Merrillville, he served as a Gary Police Officer for 7 years and was a retired Sergeant from the Lake County Sheriffs Department after serving for 25 years. Co-owner of the Alaskan Pipeline in DeMotte, Indiana. He was a member of the Lake County Police the Lake County F.O.P. Anton Lodge, the Gary Sportsman's Club, the Friendly Sons of Erin a and was a founder of the Irish Windmill Society.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sharon Sinnott Fleming of Crown Point; one son, Doug( Jenny) Fleming of Fisher's, Indiana; two daughters Julie (Brian) Fleming- Jeffery and Lorie (Jason) Akers, both of Crown Point; four grandchildren, Jacob Fleming- Jeffery, Samantha and Aiden Fleming and Riley Akers; one brother, Jack (Alice) Fleming of two sisters, Lyn (Joe) Hein of Crown Point and Tami (Michael) Carija of San Luis Obispo, CA; loving mother and father- in-law, James and Doris Sinnott of Nashville, TN; several sisters and brothers in-law, nieces, nephews, and special loving friends. Ethel was preceded in death by her son, John and loving husband, John.
