Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. James Martin Crumpacker Bloomington Valparaiso James Martin Crumpacker, 40, of Bloomington, Indiana, died on Monday, October 19, 1998 in the Bloomington Hospital Oncology Unit after a 5 year battle with brain cancer. Born February 4, 1958 in Valparaiso, Indiana, he was the son of William Peter and Louise Behlen Crumpacker. He was in marketing management, traveling extensively to Indonesia and Central America.

He was instrumental in American Field Service exchange programs. Survivors include his parents of Chesterton, IN; his siblings, Ja-neen Overman of Ft. Myers, FL, Peter of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, Barbara Crumpacker Niedner of Valparaiso, IN, Patricia Crumpacker Sisamis of Evansville, IN, nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Preceded in death by his sister, Donna Dillingham.

Duff (nee Hostetler) 1 Crown Point Ethel E. Hill, 85, of Crown Point passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 1998 at St Anthony Med-! ical Center. She was born to the late Morris and Freda (Rohde) Hipp. She was a volunteer with the Pink Ladies at St. Margaret Mercy Health Care Center South Campus.

Ethel was preceded in death by her son, John Jr. and loving husband, John. Survived by daughter, Dolores (Richard) Smith of Merrillville; two sons, Glenn (Sylvia) Hill of South Carolina and Robert Kay) Hill of Fairborn, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Pamela Goldstone, Dawn Smith, Karen Mican, Jami Hein and Robert Hill, all of Indiana, Vanessa Kimberly and Wendy, all of South Carolina; sister, Evelyn (Eli) Sobat of Valparaiso; brother, Morris Hipp of Hebron, plus numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. John D. "Doug" Fleming Crown Point John D. Fleming 56, a Crown Point resident for 28 years, passed away in St. Anthony Medical Center, Crown Point on Tuesday, October 20, 1998. Doug was a member of Our Lady of Con solation Church in Merrillville, he served as a Gary Police Officer for 7 years and was a retired Sergeant from the Lake County Sheriffs Department after serving for 25 years.

Co-owner of the Alaskan Pipeline in DeMotte, Indiana. He was a member of the Lake County Police the Lake County F.O.P. Anton Lodge, the Gary Sportsman's Club, the Friendly Sons of Erin and was a founder of the Irish Windmill Society. Arthur was born in Massena, New York August 26, 1927 and passed away Wednesday, October 21, 1998. Survivors are one son, Roger B. Ethel Marie Douthett Highland Ethel passed away at her home in Highland on Wednesday afternoon, October 21, 1998. Ethel lived her life peacefully and serenely for all of her 97 years.

She went to be with her Lord as she lived her life with quiet dignity.
