liichards. The kidlet who lost his kitelet can find it on the electric light wirelet at the junction of five street and South Dakota avenue. Fine samples of corn, wheat and oats continue to be brought to this office for exhibition. Surely, the crop is a good one. Nearly all the Sunday school teachers, superintendents and schol- ars in the city have gone to Lake Byron to spend the day.

Lacey 1L Sheff'er, of the Alpena Journal, passed through town going home. He has been to Iowa visiting his wife, who is very sick. S. J. Eichenberger has left Okla- homa and is now enjoying life among friends inDuQuome, 111., and expects to return to Huron in a few weeks. Unless the rates are changed, the car load of old soldiers who were going to Milwaukee next month from Beadle county, can go on a hand car. At the time of going to press the Wessington-Huron ball clubs are engaged in a deathly struggle for victory on the ball grounds in this city.

City treasurer Klemme leaves on Friday for a long voyage to his old home in Scotland--Bon Homme county. Absent about a week or more. Dr. Kate Bushnell will talk to the Y's tomorrow evening at the Presby terian parsonage. All Y's and their Isdy friends urged to be present at eight sharp.

William Grover will be the landlord. The cyclometer won by George Bomgardner in the bicycle race here on the Fourth, has been received and given to him. Mr. Hunting is a minister of wide experience; has a ultivated mind and those who have aeard him are impressed with his earnestness and captivated by his pleasing style.
