BERG. City Clerk. Three men constituting an alleged counterfeit ring in Omaha were brought to Lincoln early Saturday afternoon for arraignment before U. S. Commissioner Whit-more.

The latter fixed bond at $10,000 each and the trio will be held for the next federal grand jury. John W. Curran of the U. S. secret service is complainant The men gave the names of Clifford Bergstad, 31, Thompson, Clarence Flak, 36, Athens, and Dean fi.

Sprout, 23, Rochester, Minn. They are charged with conspiracy to violate the federal laws by possessing and using a mold in the illegal manufacture of counterfeit 50 cent pieces. They were brought to Lincoln by Douglas county officers and were arraigned here because of illness of the commissioner in Omaha. They were arrested while Omaha detectives were making a roundup for suspicious characters. The officers found a number of counter-felt coins and the mold.

It is charged that continuously from Dec. 29 to Jan. 4 the conspiracy existed.
