He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Rose; two daughters, Sheila Kalish of St.

Louis, MO. and Neena (David) Kubacki of Dyer. two grandchildren, Todd and Kimberly Kalish of St. Louis, one sister, Irene Miller of Highland, IN. He was preceded in death by his sister, Annette Geyer.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 16, 1994 at 1 p.m. from the Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Munster, IN. with Rabbi Raphael Ostrovsky officiating. Interment will be at the Kneseth Israel Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation will be on Sunday, one hour prior to service.

Mr. Sauer was the owner of Sauer Locksmith; a member of The Jewish Federation, the B'nai B'rith and the Adult Friendship Club; member of the American and Chicago Locksmith Association. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Marcus-Wallach Heart Fund, in his memory, would be appreciated. Margaret E. VanVleet Margaret E.

VanVleet, 78, of Kentland, died at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 1994, in the Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Wat-seka, IL. Born, April 16, 1916, in Saginaw, Michigan. She married James B. VanVleet on October 19, 1934.

He died in 1967. She was a homemaker. She had been a resident of Kentland for 22 years. Formerly of Griffith and Lake Village, IN. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Hammond.

Survived by six children, two daughters, Margie (George) Golden of Tampa, FL. and Carol (John) Hartman of Watseka, four sons, James B. (Anita) VanVleet of Lake Village, Frank R. (Sharon) VanVleet of Kentland, Gene R. (Arlene) VanVleet of Colorado Springs, CO.

"Peggy" Ryan; three grandsons, Robert Steven and Joseph; brother, Cornelius J. Ryan; two brothers-in-law, Edward P. Murphy and Joseph (Irene) Oswald; many nieces and nephews.
