JOHN Equipment is being installed to connect WCAE (Channel 50) with the Indiana Educational Television Network. A disk receiver has been installed on the TV tower, including two lines which will allow the station to receive programs from two sources simultaneously. Station director Louis Iaconetti said installation of the transmitter will be completed for early September programming. Programs will be received from various colleges through a switching center located in Indianapolis.

Equipment at the switching center will determine by computer which chan-, nels to feed. AN EXTREMELY. high megacycles is used by IETN. Programs will be rebroadcast on a UHF band at a much lower Programs win be received from Ball State- University, Purdue University, Indiana State University, Evansville Edu-caitonal TV, Vincennes University, South Bend, and I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Medical programs will be transmitted to area hospitals via closed circuit TV. Funds for the IETN were allocated by the Indiana State legislature. I.U.
