Merritt, Attorney. Senatorial Convection. Messrs. J. R.

Wood, W. W. Thompson and C. W. Hare attended the Senatorial Convention last Saturday at Union Springs.

Bullock county was entitled to the Senator and in the Primary on the 25th had chosen that sterling young Democat, Mr. Thomas S. Frazier, and Macon county only went to the convention in order to ratify that choice. Senator Frazier met the Tuske-gee delegates at the hotel and gave them a nice dinner. The convention was called to order by Hon.

S. P. Rainer and on motion Hon. J. R.

Wood was elected temporary chairman and C. W. Hare temporary secretary. Mr. Wood made a brief speech expressing his appreciation of the unexpected honor and congratulating tho Democrats of Bullock Sheriff's Sale.

Under and by virtus of an execution in my hands from the Circuit Court of Macon county, in favor of S. Marx, vs. H. A. Lane, 1 will proceed to sell on Monday 29th day of September, 1902, at the Court House door in Tuskegee, Alabama, to the highest, best and last bidder for cash during the legal hours of sale, the following described real estate as the property of the defendant, to-wit a piece of land containing 25 acres, more or less, commencing at a point 1442 feet west of south east corner of the north east quarter (N Ei) of section 17, Township 16, 23 running due north 1043 5-10 feet, thence due weBt 1043 5-10 feet, thence south 1043 5-10 feet, thence east 1043 5-10 feet to the point of, beginning, the said property being situated in Macon oounty, Ala.
