13 SOCIAL ACTIVITIES soecnis CLUBS PERSONALS SouthEasternZone MODES of the MOMENT Teachers to Meet by AdMdf Ke On October 29 "DEBS" WILL LOVE A 1 MARTIN BL riON-nOWN-FROiXT STYLE Dancing School To Open The week of 11 marks the opening of Emilia Rlccobono Weyhe'a dancing school for young folk and babies, Cliaton avenue. The studio is being redecorated in a mannw to appeal to the imagination of children. The school will continue modern and classical dances in a routine designed to bring out phases of a child's talent. Instruction ill be on an individual basis. Pantomime and music as expressed by dances and songs will be emphasized.

Gunther-Snyder Miss Shirley Jane Snjifer of Rosendale was united in marriage to Edward Alson Gunther, now of Rosendale, formerly of Pearf River, N. at All Saints Church, Rosendale, on Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock. The A. F. Marher performed the ceremony.

Mrs. Carl Kelder, sistei of the bride, was matron of hoaor, and Warren Frahn, of pearl cousin of the groom, was bast man. Mr. and Mrs Gunther will make their home in Rosendale. First Baptist Turkey Dinner The Ladies' Aid Society of the First Baptist Church will hold its annual turkey dinner on Wednesday, October 13.

Final preparations were made at a special meeting held at the church on Wednesday. The menu will include roast turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, turnips, creamed onions, cranberry sauce, celerj, brown and white bread, apple pie, ice cream and coffee. Library Conference The forty-seventh annual conference of the New York Library Association will be held at Niagara Falls, October 4 to 9. Librarians from public libraries, schools and colleges throughout the state meet to discuss matters common to their various fields. Service Club Plans The Service Club, composed of the young women of the Rondout Presbyterian Church, will hold its first meeting after the summer vacation at the home of Mrs.

Everett V. K. Schutt on Mountain View avenue on Monday evening. Plans for the fall and winter will be discussed. Following the business meeting a social time vvill be enjoyed and refreshments served.

Ruth Smith Entertains Miss Ruth Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Smith of 11 Stanley street, celebrated her 13th birthday, Wednesday, September 29, and entertained eight of her friends at a party in her home, was decorated in pink and white for the occasion.

After the social, she and her guests attended the Broadway Theatre. Those at the party -were Barbara. Norton, Virginia Schwenk, Hazel Post, Evelyn Wolfshim, Olive Post, Lillian Carle, Catherine and Mary Smith. Spider Web Social The Port Ewen Epworth League will open its season with a spider web social, which will be held in the E. Church bouse on Friday evening, October 1.

After the spider web has been unwoven games will follow, and refreshments will be served. Everyone is cordially invited to come to untangle threads promptly at 7:30 p. m. There are rumors of a "Scavanger in connection with the fun to be had during the course of the evening. D.

A. R. Junior Group The Junior Group of Wiltwyck Chapter, D. A. will hold its first regular meeting of the season at the Chapter House on Monday evening, October 4.

Sebastian Lasher's Descendants Meet The first gathering of the descendants of Sebastian Lasher, who came to West Camp in 1710 in the ship, Midford, was held at "Dlllonhurst" residence of Mr. I and Mrs. C. Lasher, in Asbury. on Saturday.
