Mr. Bolt, a corporate architect for Deere for many years, represented the company during its dealings with famed architect Eero Saarinen in the design, development and completion of the Deere Administrative Center. Later, he worked with Saarinen's successor, Kevin RocheJohn Dinkello and Associates, in the expansion of the administrative center. Mr.

Bettendorf Mark McCoy Nagan BETTENDORF Mark McCoy Nagan, 33, of Rancho Mirage, formerly of Bettendorf, died Friday, May 2, 2003, after a nine-year battle with brain cancer. He returned to the home of his parents in Bettendorf, April 10, to enter the hospice program.

Mark attended ley Schools and graduated from St. Katherine St. Mark's school. He attended Cornell College and graduated from the University of Pleasant ValMr. Nagan Iowa.

After graduation, he moved to Seattle. On February 19, 1994, Mark had a seizure at work and his battle with brain cancer began. After treatment in Seattle, he returned to Bettendorf and worked locally for the American Cancer Society. After many setbacks, he moved to the Palm Springs, area where he was still able to enjoy his passion for running, which kept him going through his numerous treatments. Always courageous, Mark possessed engaging humor in every sense of the word, which pulled him through his neverending life of battles.

His magnetic personality attracted friends wherever he went. Mark's loves were the Iowa Hawkeyes, Bix races, West Coast runs in Washington and California, traveling, tennis and his two nieces. Mark's competitiveness, positive attitude and courageous fight not to give up will be remembered. Mark is survived by his parents, Anne and Mark T. Nagan, sister and brother-in-law, Cathy (Nagan) and Juan Aquino, and his two nieces, Anna and Alison Aquino, all of Bettendorf.

Greenlee 1980. He was a early photo member of Local No. 81 International Association of Machinist. He served in the U.S Army Air Force during World War II. He married Rosel Scheib.

They were later divorced. He then married Lois Fuller in 1963 in Galesburg. She preceded him in death in 1978. Survivors include his son, Dan Greenlee, of Davenport; daughters, Valerie GreenleeDrier, of Davenport, and Rosel (Susie) Greenlee-Clark, of Arkansas; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers Ray C. Moline Robert Thennis MOLINE Robert L. Thennis, 71, of 1423 17th died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center-East Campus, Moline. Robert L. Thennis was born Oct. 29, 1931, to LeLand and Sarah (Ayers) Thennis in Moline.

"Give him a mission, and he would accomplish it," he said. Mr. Bolt, a Rock Island native, took architectural courses at the 1 universities of Illinois, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, earning a silver battle star on his European African Middle Eastern Theater ribbon for participating in the Naples, Foggia, Rome, Southern France, Rhineland and Southern Europe campaigns.

He and his wife, who met when they were in the third grade, were married in 1946. Their son, Craig, is an aeronautical engineer in Connecticut. Mr. Bolt is described by his wife as quiet, easy to get along with and exacting in his work. His hobbies included golf and travel.

Ruth liked cooking and her cookbooks, gardening and flowers as well as birds and animals. She also enjoyed spending time with her son. She was very proud of encouraging her son to be generous in the community in helping others. Survivors include her son, Floyd "Bud" Egger Davenport; sisters, Betty (Fred) Boetger, Denton, Texas, Peggy (Lonnie) Pike, West Plains, and Rose Kroger, Bettendorf, and several nieces and nephews. Albert Augustine the small Manhattan company she and her husband, Albert, founded in the basement of their four-story home in 1947, is one of the leading manufacturers of classical guitar strings. Her husband died in 1967. "You ask any classical guitar player anywhere in the world and they know Augustine strings," said Stephen Griesgraber, editor of Guitar Review, a quarterly journal founded in 1946 Society. He was born to John Gerald and Eleanor M. (Strunk) Burton on September 3, 1939, near Moravia.

He graduated from Moravia High School in 1958. Jerry married Marcia Lois LaMar on March 4, 1966, in Moravia. Jerry farmed for a while near Moravia. He started his trucking career with Ellsworth Freight Lines in Eldora, Iowa. For 32 years, he trucked for Eagle Country Market.

Jerry was honored with the two million mile award for driving that distance without an accident. He retired from Eagle in the fall 2000. Jerry enjoyed his grandkids and the coffee club at the Davenport McDonald's on Locust. He is survived by his friend, Marcia Lois LaMar, of Davenport; two sons, Christopher Lee Burton and Tammy Diane Roseman-Burton, and their children, Kieran, Kalynn and Kyle, and Bradley Joseph and Kelly Ann Burton, and their children, Cade and Christopher, all of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents.

She was united in marriage to Floyd Egger Sr. in 1952 in Davenport. He died in 1995. She later married John Torrence in 1985 in Moscow, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1998.

She worked at the Kahl Home Leola Purdum ROCK ISLAND Services for Leola G. Purdum, 93, Portland, Texas, formerly of Moline, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hodgson Funeral Home Rock Island. Visitation is one hour before the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline.

Mrs. Purdum died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital, Corpus Christi, Texas. She owned a variety store in Freemont, Texas, for many years. Leola Mumm was born Jan. 9, 1910, in Moline.

She married Marion Purdum. He preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
