Miss Buhrmann died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport. Carrie was born Dec. 18, 1973, in Elgin. She was a graduate of Davenport North High School.

She was a resident and participated in the workshops at the Handicapped Development Center, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Dundee, or the Handicapped Development Center, Davenport. Survivors include her parents, Paul H. and Constance J. Carrie also is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins and the many caregivers and residents of the Handicapped Development Center, Davenport. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marjorie Walls Kanatzar, and her paternal grandfather, Russell L. Buhrmann. Rock Island Otto Hintz ROCK ISLAND Services for Otto E.

Hintz, 82, of Rock Island, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Island. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at his home. He was employed as a machinist by Mr. Brown Olsen Engineering, Eldridge, Iowa, for two years.

He was born Jan. 12, 1958, in Canton, 111. He married Colleen McKinney on July 29, 2000, in Moline. He served in the Army. Memorials may be made to the family.

Connelly died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at her home Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, is in charge of arrangements. Corrine Siemsen was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Bennett. She married Dale Connelly in 1952 in Tipton.

He died in 1998. The couple owned and operated Connelly Hardware, Washington, from 1952-76. They sold the business and moved to Waverly, where she worked for State Farm. She also had worked at Block and at Tipton State Bank. Memorials may be made to the family Survivors include sons, Ken Connelly, Cedar Rapids, and Gary Connelly, Grinnell; four grandchildren; and a sister, Nola Garrels, Wilton.

James Sullivan GALVA, iil. James A. Sullivan, 70, of Galva, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Kewanee Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m.

Monday at Rux Funeral Home, Galva. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery, with military rites accorded by the Galva Fusiliers. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He was born Jan.

16, 1931, in Chicago. He married Janice E. Laauwe in 1970 in Chicago. He had worked as a factory worker at Allied Equipment, Kewanee, for many years, retiring in 1993. He served in the Army from 1952-54.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or to a favorite charity. Survivors include his wife, Janice; daughters, Cindy Reader, Kewanee, and Tammi Sullivan, Galva; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Janann Konstanty, Galva, and Rita Livesay, Merritt Island, and a brother, Jack Sullivan, Arbor Vitae, Wis. Monday at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Lovett died Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island Clarice Annette Winner was born Sept.

7, 1927, in Prentice. She married Robert A. Lovett in 1945 in Rock Island. He died Oct. 22, 1999.

She was a delivery driver for Bonnett Wholesale Florists, Milan, for many years. Memorials may be made to the family Survivors include a son, Robert A. Lovett, Taylor Ridge; and two grandsons. Area deaths Floyd Pottratz NEW ALBIN, Iowa Services for Floyd J. Pottratz, 85, of New Albin, will be 11 a.m.

Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at New Albin Community Center. Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home, Lansing, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Pottratz died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, Wis. He lived in New Albin most of his life and attended New Albin public schools. He married Rita O'Donnell on Feb.

28, 1933. She died Oct. 21, 1999. They made their home in New Albin, Floyd as an enterprising young man managed the New Albin creamery and locker plant until he enlisted in the Navy. Floyd was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater.

After the war, Floyd and his brother became active in the dairy industry. He was the owneroperator of a successful dairy farm for more than 25 years until he retired in 1972. Upon retirement he moved into New Albin where he continued to be active with Tri State Feeds, county board of supervisors and the school board. He was a civil defense director, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars; a 4th degree Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Joseph's Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Angela Lager, North Mankato, Christy Lam-pert, Brownsville, and Rebecca Andresen, Eldridge; four sons, Floyd Thomas, Indianapolis, Floyd, Davenport, Robert, Melrose, and Dennis, Decorah; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sylvia Hegy, Lansing; a brother, Milton, King City, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Alvina (Klinski) Pottratz, sisters, Lillian, Serena, Verona and Mabel, an infant brother, Lloyd, and a grandson. Esther Brinkman OXFORD JUNCTION, Iowa -Services for Esther Brinkman, 91, of Oxford Junction, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Oxford Junction United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mas-sillon Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Hayden Funeral Home, Oxford Junction. Mrs. Brinkman died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa, after a brief illness.

Esther Juehring was born Aug. 18, 1910, in Massillon. She married Elijah Brinkman in 1927 in Lowden. He died in January. Survivors include sons, Ken and Ron, all of Oxford Junction; seven grandchildren; a sister, Betty Schade, Calamus; and a brother, Ervin Juehring, Maquoketa.

Barker Funeral Home, West Liberty Mr. Wachs died in his home surrounded by his family on Wfidnfisdav Oct. 31, 2001, Mr. Wachs after an extended illness. He was born Nov.

22, 1920, in West Liberty, the son of Fredrick W7ilhelm and Maude (Estes) Wachs. He was a 1939 graduate of West Liberty High School. On Sept. 15, 1940, he was united in marriage to Viola Mid-dleton in West Liberty. He had worked at Carver Pump until he left to serve his country during World War II serving with the Army in Germany and France.

After returning from the service he worked several jobs until he joined the West Liberty Police Dept. in 1957 where he retired as chief in 1982. He was a member of the American Legion, Infantry Division of the United States Army and the Moose Lodge. A memorial fund has been established. He is survived by his wife, Viola Wachs, West Liberty; two sons, Dennis and Janice Wachs, West Liberty, and Bill and Edie Wachs, West Liberty; two daughters, Connie (Wachs) and Denny Schumaker, Davenport, and Teresa Wachs, Seattle, 10 grandchildren, Doug and Kim Schumaker, Crystal Lake, 111., Dave and Amy Schumaker, Lee's Summitt, Cathy (Schumaker) and Matt Mudd, Bettendorf, Dr.

Columbus Junction to get a new well COLUMBUS Iowa Columbus Junction officials accepted a $24,000 bid from a Wilton well company Wednesday to drill a new water well for the city. Latta Well Pump submitted the low bid. Gingerich Well Pump, Kalona, submitted a $30,000 bid for the work. Mayor Earlene Lekwa said the city has been experiencing problems with one of its two water wells and a recommendation had been made to replace it.

Services will be private. Bur ial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens. Esterdahl Mortuary Moline, is in charge of the arrangements. Mildred Als-man was born Mrs. Schneekloth April 27, 1910, in Paducah, Ky.

She married Henry W. "Hiney" Schneekloth in 1929 in Laverne, Minn. He died in 1960. She was employed for more than 25 years as a cook at the former Moline Public Hospital, retiring in 1971. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Christian Church, Moline.

Survivors include daughters, Mary Sandler and Joan Can-field, both of Moline; sons, Carl Schneekloth, Rock Island, and Dennis Schneekloth, Moline; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Norma Feltes MOLINE Norma A. Feltes, 90, Moline, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport. Memorial services will be later.

Private burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Norma Rubly was born April 27, 1911, in Petersburg, Iowa. She Mrs. Feltes married Joseph Feltes in 1930 in Petersburg.

Hintz died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Mr. Hintz He was born May 24, 1919, in Moline. He married Betty Ann Schneider in 1941 in Rock Island.

She died in 1991. He was a certified professional engineer. Survivors include a daughter, Maryanna Valsa, Canton, a son, Edward G. Hintz, St. Ann, two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Milan William Mayo MILAN, 111. William Mayo, 80, of Milan, 111., died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Iv Inurnment will be held at a later date in Guin City Cemetery Guin, Ala. There will be no visitation.

Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, is in charge of Mr. Mayo arrangements. He was born Feb. 6, 1921, in Guin. He married Vivian Moran in 1976 in Ralston, Neb.

He was employed at International Harvester, Farmall Works, East Moline, retiring in 1980. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Survivors include sons, Billy Glen Mayo, Davenport, and Gary Lee Mayo, Geneseo, III; a stepdaughter, Patsy Gross, Davenport; a stepson, Tim Moran, Rock Island; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three sisters. (Smith) Arnould. She married Robert T. Koch on Sept. 18, 1944, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1999.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Catholic Women's League, Plus 60 and Caterpillar Retirees Club. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Care and Share, Davenport. Survivors include a son and his wife, James R.
