7 p.m. Mrs. Shea died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at Crestridge Nursing Home, Maquoketa, after an extended illness. She had taught school in Delmar, Welton and Maquoketa.

Doris Watters was born Sept. 3, 1916, in a farmhouse east of Delmar. She married Joseph Powers in 1940 in Delmar. He died in 1965. She married Clyde Shea in 1969 in Delmar.

He died in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Margo Shouse, Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Martin Powers, Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; and two McCabe's Department Store. She also had been a domestic and private duty nurse's aide for several families. Johanne Pechmann was born Nov. 1, 1900, in Germany to Max-imillian and Matilda (Miller) Pechmann.

She married Emil Kober in September 1920 in Germany. He died in 1985. She came to Rock Island in 1953 from Munich, Germany. She was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and baking.

She was an avid tennis fan and kept abreast of current events. Survivors include a daughter, Edith E. Edner, Rock Island; a granddaughter, Edie Holmstrom, Bettendorf; and a great-grandson, Erik Holmstrom, Ames, Iowa. She also was preceded in death by her parents; nine brothers and sisters; and a son, Rolf, in 1950. Donald Grisham ROCK ISLAND Donald T.

He was a member of the Davenport Chamber of Commerce, Quad-City Sales Executive Club, Lions Club, Air Force Association, Reserve Officers Association, Alpha Gamma Rho National Agricultural fraternity and the American Legion. He served with the Air Force during World War II as a B-17 and B-29 bomber pilot.

He retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel. John enjoyed collecting antiques, traveling, photography, woodworking, gardening, spectator sports, Air Force Reserve activities and pilots reunion 44-K. Memorials may be made to Gilda's Club or a favorite charity. Survivors include his wife; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas M. and Barbara Patterson, Cincinnati, and Robert J.

Holtam, 81, of Apple Valley, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Davenport Memorial Park mausoleum. Mrs. Holtam died Saturday, Sept. 11,1999.

She and her husband, Clyde, enjoyed flying. They also were participants in the Love through Understanding program, being both hosts and visitors to Japanese participants in this program. Bunny was born July 5, 1941, in Moline, to Crawford and Madeline (Meirhaghe) Malmstrom. She graduated in 1959 from Riverdale High School. She married Clyde H.

Johnson on Dec. 27, 1972. He died in February 1994. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Pathway Hospice, St. Jude's and St.

Malachy's Catholic Church. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and the Rev. Sunday at mortuary. Mr. Grisham was employed many years as a manager at Frito Lay Co. and, since 1991, was a sales representative for Modern Woodmen of America, Rock Island. He was a licensed minister.

He was born March 1, 1934, in Rock Island. He married Caroline Neal in 1959 in Rock Island. He served in the Army during peacetime. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. McMahon died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus, Clinton, Iowa.

She was employed as a soil tester at Whiteside County Farm Bureau. Most recently, she was employed as a secretary at Vend-Omack Sales, Morrison. Jeannette Kool was born Oct. 28, 1918, in Morrison. She married Joseph McMahon in 1942 in Kahoka, Mo.

He died in 1973. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include sons, Larry, Belvidere, and Dennis, Wheaton; five grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Glenn Irwin MUSCATINE, Iowa Glenn M. Irwin, 89, of Maquoketa, died Thursday, Sept.

16, 1999, at Unity Hospital, Muscatine. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Maquoketa.

Burial will be in Eliza Creek Cemetery, Eliza, 111. Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Irwin farmed in Eliza Township and was employed many years as a weigh master for the state of Illinois.

He was born Aug. 2, 1910, in Mercer County, 111. He married Ruth Shellabarger in 1928. She preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to Eliza Community Church.

Cole became involved with the NAACP in 1938. He was president of the Tri-City Branch, serving three terms. For four years, he was a member of the board and regional vice president of the Illinois Conference of Branches, NAACP. He also was involved in district work. He was born April 13, 1907, in Belle, to Talton and Anna (Christ) Cole.

He married Altha Odessa Lacey on Dec. 25, 1941, in Corinth, Miss. She died in July 1965. He married Susan Marie Fruzzetti in 1971. He married Mary Lavena Casebolt on June 23, 1976.

had served in the Army. In 1946, he attended the Industrial Training Institute, Chicago. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses, baptized in 1974. He died Nov. 18, 1986. Mrs. Gilbraith was employed at Lincoln Fundamental School. She retired in 1984.

Since her retirement, she had been active at Gospel Mission Temple, where she was one of the founders, and with Woman's Aglow. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Richard Tuthill Rock Island, Mary and Marvin Remley, Davenport, Margaret and Steve Norman, Davenport, Linda Allen, Davenport, and Kathy Dare, Chicago; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Rosemary Winters, Davenport, Gary Winters, Davenport, David and Starr Winters, Davenport, and Edward and Lanetha Winters, Davenport; 29 grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Swigart, Salt Lake City; and a brother, Eugene Swigart, Coos Bay, Ore.
