Some Seasonable Advice. It may be a piece of supei tliious advice to urge people at this season of the year to lay in a supply of Chamberlain's Cough Remedy. It is almost sure to be needed before winter is over, and much more prompt and satisfactory results are obtained when taken as soon as a cold is contracted and before it become settled in the system, which cm be done by keeping the remedy at hand. Ill remedy is so widely known and so altogether good that no one should hesitate buying it in preference to any oilier. It is for sale by Nash Lee, Hav Minette.

GRAND JURY REPORT, Tin; State of Abibama, Baldwin County. Circuit Court, Fall Term, 1904. To Hon. Win. S.

Anderson, Judge tin; lSjth Judicial Circuit. We, the Grand Jury of Baldwin County, respectfully report that we have investigated fifty-six cases, examined eighty-eight witnesses and found forty-one true bills. We have visited the county jail and we find it good and sufficient for the present needs of the coiin-tv, and in a fairly good condition. Tin; prisoners confined in the jail seem to be well treated. We that the j.iiiitor visit the jail the tiling every morning to provide fires and other neces sary comforts for the prisoners, and not.

wait till his other morning chores are done before attend-iiu; to this duty, as is now the custom. We found many glasses broken i i the jail windows. These slion'd be at once replaced, and every reasonable means used to prevent further breaking. There is confined in the jail a thirteen-year-old boy named Ed. KatlilVe.

We do not think he is a hardened criminal, and we hop'; that some better disposition be made of him than that of sending hini to the penitentiary or any place where he would be with more depraved characters. We have xamined the bonds of th" county officers and we find tin-in good and sufficient, except that of C. H. Driesbach, as county surveyor, who should make a new bond. We have examined the books of the county officers, ami, in so tar as our limited time would permit, we find them correct lv kept.

The roads of the county we behove, to be in a average condition. However, there is much room for improvoment, which cannot be attained so long as the general public appear so indiffer ent. We find the approaches to the bridged liar-tie Mill Dam, near kic 11, to he in um fundi- mid' r-hould be renlaced at that, til" lUlk is unsafeand sin hM lie eon ti'iii one' Civ- tienmei! ilmt. si li Hire loll 1 If built aciv-s llai er ditch on the Mount Pleasant lit find that the Fisher Bridge yen Black Wiit-r should lie lvbuib.
