Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service, Davenport, is East Moline Lennart Setterdahl EAST MOLINE Services for Lennart Gustaf Setterdahl, 67, of 3452 4th will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Esterdahl Mortuary Moline. Burial will in Frandefors, Sweden, at a later date. Mr.

Setterdahl died Friday at his home. He came to Cleveland, Ohio, in 1959. He began to record interviews with Swedish immigrants in A Davenport, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Mr. Halpin died Friday at his home.

He began working at Alcoa in New Jersey in 1957. DAVENPORT Garland Travis, 65, of Davenport, died Saturday at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport Arrangements at Runge, Davenport. ROCK ISLAND Etta M. Lorenzen, 95, of 1515 7th died Friday at Mitchell Park Convalescent Center, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 p.m.

Monday at Wheelan, Rock Island, where further arrangements are pending. AREA Marvin Lange, 79, of Clinton, Iowa, died Saturday at Samaritan Hospital North, Clinton. Arrangements at Pape, Clinton. Robert W. Laughlln, 57, of West Branch, Iowa, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, after an apparent heart attack.

Arrangements at Barker, West Branch. Lester Levine, 83, of Clinton, Iowa, died Saturday at Samaritan Hospital North, Clinton. Arrangements at Snell-Zomig, Clinton. ducted. Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Monday. Mr. Scheibler died Thursday at Trinity Medical Center-East Campus, Moline. He was a retired lieutenant V.v the area. He was employed at the Swedish Emigrant Institute in Vaxjo, Sweden, inventorying and microfilming Swedish-American church re in charge of arrangements.

He died Friday at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. He was employed as the former regional Mr. Scheibler colonel in the Area deaths Florence Goettsch CLINTON, Iowa Services for Florence E. Goettsch, 91, of Clinton, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Episcopal Church, Clinton-Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, rural Clinton.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. today at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Mrs. Goettsch died Friday at Samaritan Hospital South, Clinton. She was employed as a registered nurse at Jane Lamb Hospital, Clinton, retiring in 1966.

She also was a pre-school inoculation nurse, a thyroid scan nurse, a blood bank nurse and a volunteer with Clinton County Red Cross inoculations. Florence Schlemme married Karl Goettsch in 1933 in Clinton. He died in 1973. She graduated from Jane Lamb School of Nursing in 1 929. She was a member of the church, St.

Faiths Guild of the church, Jane Lamb Hospital Auxiliary and past secretary of the Jane Lamb Hospital Alumni Association. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the church. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Kay Goettsch, Duncanville, Texas; sons, Eugene, Goettsch, Rochester, and Jon, Belmont, and three grandchildren. Army, serving during World War II A. t.

He was a member of the Signal Corps Association. He enjoyed golfing, reading and had dedicated his life to serving his country. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sandra (Mrs. Ralph) Devasier, Bowling Brook, 111., Darlyne (Mrs.

Arthur) Cannon, Chicago; a sister, Elsie Trib, Littleton, and a brother, Raymond, Brooksville; Fla. employed as the manager of special projects at AAA of Iowa. He married Ruth Evans in 1956 in Winfield. He receive a bachelor of science degree in religion and philosophy from the former Parsons College, Fairfield, Iowa, in 1957. He served in the Air Force.

He was a member and former lay leader of the church, a member of KAABA Shrine, Davenport Scottish Rite, and Roosevelt Masonic Lodge 626 and co-chairman of Toys for Tots. Memorials may be made to the church music program, Toys for Tots or Genesis Medical Center-West Campus Oncology Department. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Ann Stroup, Charleston, S.C.; a son, Michael, and two Judy Kortemeyer DAVENPORT Judy C. Kortemeyer, 54, of 3406 Forest Road, died Saturday at her home after an extended illness of Lou Gehrig's Disease. Services will be 1 p.m.

Tuesday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Monday. She taught English and history at J.B.

Young Junior High School He came to the Mr- Halpip Alcoa, Davenport Works, in i963, where he worked in several staff positions in metallurgical engineering. He retired in 1991 as hot line superintendent after 25 years in that position. He made contributions to the Alcoa Davenport Works for 34 years and was considered an expert in hot rolling. He married Barbara Thrailkill in 1966 in Bettendorf. He received a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from Michigan Tech.

in 1957. He served in the Navy spending three years at sea including cruises in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and an around the world cruise. He received an honorable discharge as a fire controlman 2nd class. He received the Navy Occupation Service medal with Europe and Asia Claspes, Korean Service Ribbon with two stars, United Nations Service Ribbon, China Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal. He was a member of the Alcoa Retirees Club, the Knights of Columbus and the church.

He enjoyed fishing and crossword puzzles. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Barbara Halpin, Lafayette, and Susan Halpin, Fort Wayne, a sister, Mary Hoffman, Warren, and brothers, John, Mexico, and William, Danbury, Conn. Davenport Roxie Proksch DAVENPORT Services for Roxie B. Proksch, 91, of 4130 Northwest will be 1 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Davenport.

Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Larry Laurick MOLINE Services for Larry C. Laurick, 43, of 973 41st will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary Moline. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday. Mr. Laurick died Friday at his home after and extended illness. He was an apprentice printer at Starforms, Davenport.

She also was a teacher at Rock Island Gretchen Graves Stuhr ROCK ISLAND Gretchen Graves Stuhr, 89, of Steepmeadow Club, died Saturday at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Dav cords from Mr. Setterdahl 1 969-78. As part of his work he travelled through the U.S.

and Canada where Swedish immigrants had settled and founded congregations. He worked as an archivist at the institute during parts of 1978 and 1979. When he returned to the U.S. he received grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities for the Swedish-American Historical Society, Chicago, and Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center, Augustana College, Rock Island, inventorying and microfilming records of mainly Swedish-American fraternal organizations. In 1985 he became a secretary and field researcher for the local American Friends of the Emigrant Institute of Sweden an organization he was instrumental in founding.

The organization conducted an oral history project resulting in 1,439 recorded interviews by mid-1992. After completing the project he worked directly for the Swedish Emigrant Institute on grants from organizations such as the Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Foundation on an oral history project in Minnesota. In January and February of this year he inventoried and microfilmed a large Scandinavian-Australian collection in Sydney, Australia. He married Lilly Aderum in 1952 in Frandefors. He was a member of the Nobel-Monitor Lodge 130 of the Vasa Order of America, Cleveland, since 1960; cultural leader of Pennsylvania District Lodge 9 and the executive board of Vasa Order of America, consultant to the National Archives Inc.

Vasa Order of America; secretary of the American Friends of Emigrant Institute of Sweden. He received an honorary doctor of philosophy degree from the University of Gothenburg in 1990. Survivors include his wife; sons, Michael, Neuchatel, Switzerland, Stephan, Stavanger, Norway, and Christer, Chicago; two grandchildren; and a sister, Gunvor Falk, Frandefors, Sweden. been employed as a custodian at the YWCA, Moline, for 10 years, the Association for Retarded Citizens and Heritage 53, Moline.

Laurick maintenance man at Rose House, Moline. He graduated from Rets Electronic School, Rock Island. He was a member of Elim Covenant Church, Moline. He enjoyed skating, music, fishing and yard work. Memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurses and Homemakers Association of Rock Island County.

Survivors include his parents, Adolph and Dorothy Laurick, Moline; a sister, Lana Lueth, Moline; and a special friend, Patricia Drurry. church. Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock JTPA and Mrs. Kortemeyer worked with the Career Assistance Center GED program at Eastern Iowa Community College. She retired in 1993.

Judy Ellberg married William "Bill" Kortemeyer in 1964 in Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. She completed additional graduate work at the University of Iowa. She was president of the Davenport PTA Council, a member of the Iowa State PTA Board of Managers, workshop chairman for the Iowa State PTA Conventions and coordinator of the Cultural ArtsReflections Program. She also was a voting delegate to the National PTA.

She was vice president and fellowship chairman of the American Association of University Women. She worked with the Cub Scouts, Brownies and Girl Scouts. Her interests include education, art, literature and music. Memorials may be made to the scholarship fund of the Davenport PTA or to Scott County Hospice. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Lynda Kortemeyer, a son, Steve, both of Davenport; a stepfather, Delbert Maifeld of Florida; and a sister, Ingegerd "Beebs" Downing, Waterloo.

Harvey Tegeler MORRISON, 111. Services for Harvey P. Tegeler, 59, of Morrison, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Morrison Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, with a Masonic service conducted.

There will be no visitation. Mr. Tegeler died Friday at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. He owned and operated Harv's Auto Repair, Morrison, for the last 20 years. He previously was employed at General Electric, Morrison for nine years.

He married Arnie Adkins in 1 956 in Morrison. He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, Morrison Dunlap Lodge 32 1 AF and AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Moline, and KAABA Temple Shrine, Davenport. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jonelle (Mrs. Kevin) Hook, Morrison; sons, Harvey "Bud," and Tim, both of Morrison; five grandchildren; and his mother, Jennie Tegeler, Morrison.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Ann Tegeler, and his father, Henry Tegeler. Antoinette Llorente GALVA, 111. Services for Antoinette A. Llorente, 76, of Galva, will be 11 a.m. Monday at St.

John's Cemetery, rural Galva. Rux Funeral Home, Galva, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Llorente died Friday at Toulon Health Center, Toulon. Antoinette Waitekus married Mordecai Llorente in 1968 in Crown Point, Ind.

She had worked as a general laborer at factories in the Chicago area. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Survivors include her husband. Mrs. Mrs.

Proksch Proksch died Friday at Crest Health Care Center, Davenport. Roxie Williams married William Proksch in 1924 in Davenport. He died in 1989. She graduated from the former Brown's Business College. She was a member of the church, the Ladies Aid Society and Lutheran Women Missonary League.

Memorials may be made to the church. Survivors include daughters, Darleen Kitzmann, Joyce Schoon-hoven and Mary (Mrs. Charles) Brozovich, all of Davenport; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and sisters, Grace Miller and Ruth Natzke, both of Davenport. Edward deSilva in 1927 in Geneseo. She married architect William Stuhr in 1952 in Rock Island. He died in 1968. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority at Northwestern University. She was a member of Broadway Presbyterian Church, Rock Island; a founding member Robb Guild, past president of the Rock Island Visiting Nurses Association, a long time member of the Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club and the Outing Club, Davenport.

Memorials may be made to Broadway Presbyterian Church, the First Congregational Church, Geneseo; or the Kahl Home for the Aged and Infirm, Davenport. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria deSilva Gierke, Riverdale, Iowa; a son, Judge Edward B. deSilva Davenport; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Beverly Abraham EAST MOLINE Services for Beverly J. Abraham, 64, of 122 Island will be 2 p.m.

Rasmussen, 70, of 3705 26th died Saturday at Laurelwood Health Care Center, Rock Island. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 10 a.m. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Burial will be in St.

Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, with military rites conducted by Silvis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1933. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with a rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. He was employed by the Moline Public School System as assistant superintendent of building and grounds. He previously was employed at the former Ametek East Moline.

He married Marian Nielsen in 1948 in East Moline. She died in 1983. He married Rosalie Arvidson in 1991 in Moline. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific. He was a member of the church, Silvis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1933.

He was a Ham radio operator and an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Susan (Mrs. Daniel) Murphy, Rapids City, 111., and Lori Mack, Moline; a son, William, Coal Valley, five grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Covemaker, Carbon Cliff, III. He was preceded death by a son.

Mary Stigers SPRING HILL, Fla. Services for Mary Stigers, 57, of Spring Hill, formerly of Davenport, will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport.

Mrs. Stigers died Tuesday in HCA Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center in Florida. She was a member of the Weeki Wachce Craft Club. She enjoyed her family, crafts, plants and flowers. Survivors include her husband, Roy, Spring Hill; daughters, Peggy Hopper, Rock Island, Becky Kum-merfeldt and Jill Sterling, both of Davenport; sons, Roy Dean, Durant, Iowa, and Jeffrey, Rock Island; and a sister, Alice Dubay, Spring Hill.

Buffalo Jess Snyder BUFFALO, Iowa Services for Jess V. Snyder, 79, of Buffalo, will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Whiteside Assembly of God Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo. The Family of Visitation is 10-11 a.m.

Tuesday. He died Friday at Laurel-wood Health Care Center. He was employed as a janitor at the Rock IcInnH Arcpnnt East Moline, for 26 years. She also was employed as a secretary at East Moline Metal Products, retiring 1990. Beverly Widell married Richard Abraham in 1949 in Rock Island.

She enjoyed flowers and crafts and especially enjoyed Campbell's Island and the Mississippi River. She also enjoyed her many animal friends and her pet dogs. Her last pet was a cat who helped her through her extended illness. Survivors include a daughter, Merry (Mrs. Robert) Hull, West Palm Beach, a son, Matt, Eliza, three grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Rossivita, West Palm Beach, a brother, Eric "Rick," Widell, Moline; and special friends, Marilyn Gill, Mona Johnson and Richard Abraham.

John "Jack" Gripp Would like to thank everyone for their efforts during this difficult time. The love and support of his family and of his many friends was overwhelming, and each of you played a huge part in making our loss easier to accept. Your kindness will never be forgotten, and you will always be in our prayers. A special thank-you to the Davenport Fire Department. Your support and your presence was a fitting tribute.

Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today. Dr.

Manning died Friday at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. He was an eye, nose and throat physician in Davenport, retiring in 1993. He worked for Davenport Clinic for five years. He then went into private practice. In 1990 he joined Eye Surgeon Associates.

He retired in 1993. He married Louise Nascher in 1937 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He graduated from City College, New York. He received a master's degree in bacteriology from New York University. He also graduated from medical school in Zurich, Switzerland.

He received specialty training at the Eye and Ear Infirmary, Chicago. He received additional eye, nose and throat training at Hines Veterans Administration Hospital, Chicago. He served as an Army captain in the European Theater for three years. He was a member of the Scott County Medical Society, Iowa Eye Association, Blackhawk Hiking Club, Friendship Force of the Quad Cities and Viewfinders Camera Club. Memorials may be made to the Davenport Family Mediation Center of the Quad-Cities or Temple Emanuel, Davenport.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Joan Walker, Minneapolis, Dr. Carol Manning, both of Minneapolis, and Jean Phillips, Tucson, sons, Allen, Utica, N.Y., and Earl, New Orleans; five grandchildren; and a brother, Jules, Clark, N.J. retiring in 1978. Mr. Kirby He served as a private first class in the Army during World War II.

He enjoyed bowling. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Survivors include sons, William Seattle, Jerry, Oglesby, one grandchild; and a sister, Inez Blondell, Rock Island. He was preceded in death by a sister Thelma Fielding in March. Mary Gripp and Family Visitation is 3-8 p.m.
