JMr. Tatum, a farmer and lifelong resident of Selmore, died Friday afternoon in his home after an apparent heart attack. Man found dead in apartment A Springfield man was discovered dead in his apartment of natural causes early Saturday, according to police. Charles Julius Blackstone, about 61, of C14 West Walnut, was discovered clad in his pajamas on his bed by Gary Loring, apartment manager. Blackstone apparently died between 7:30 p.m.

Friday and 8 45 a.m. Saturday when he was discovered by Loring. Blackstone was taken to the Springfield Mortuary Service. today in the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. ROBERT F. GAGE Robert Francis Gage, 40, of 2728 Nichols, waa dead on arrival at Cox Medical Center about 4 p.m. Saturday.

Greene County Medical Examiner Erwin Busiek attributed the death "most likely to natural causes." Police officers Investigated the death, be said, but "a flat-footed ruling" could not be' made. Busiek said two bottles of medicine were found near the body, but "it ia unlikely these medicines could have caused the man's death." Family reported that Mr. Gage had a history of heart trouble, Busiek said. Mr. Gage waa a former resident of Knob Noster, and had lived here since 1972.

He waa employed at Manley Truck Stop, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; four daughters, Brenda, Glenda, Cynthia and Danna, all of the home; his father, Gerald, of Wadena, Iowa; three brothers, Gene and Doyle, both of Oelwein, Iowa, and Leo, of Waterloo, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Daryl Kuhens and Mrs. Wanda Cousins, both of the Iowa state.

Greenlawn Funeral Home will announce services. GILBERT L. SMITH SEYMOUR Services for a 04-year-old Seymour man, Gilbert L. Smith, Route 1, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Bogart Chapel here.

The Rev. Milton Pool will officiate, and burial will be in Smith Cemetery northeast of here. Mr. Smith died at a.m. Saturday at bis home after a short illness.

A native of the state of Virginia, Mr. Smith was a retired farmer. Surviving are five sons, Clinton, of Modesto, Eber, of Sequira, Everett, of St. Joseph, Charles, of Estes Park, and Donald, of Seymour; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Dart.

Ramey, 88, of 1139 East Kingsbury, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Klingner Chapel with the Rev. William M. Turner officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Ramey died Saturday morning in a Norman. hospital after a long illness. Her husband, the late John Ramey, was founder of the Ramey supermarkets here. She was a member of the Episcopal Church, and was affiliated with the Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri.

She also was a member of the Sorosia Club's garden club. Surviving are a daughter. Mrs. Fred (Gladys) Sheila-barger, Norman, and a sister, Mrs. A.

A. McClellan, Springfield. Contributions may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Norman, Okla. The family will be at the funeral borne after noon Monday.

Mrs. Robertson, a resident here for the past three years, waa formerly of Forrest City, Ark. She waa a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors include her husband, Jack a step-mother. Mrs.

Mr. Pendergraft died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in South Barry County Hospital, Cassville, where he'd been a patient for two days. He was a retired fanner and a member of the Assembly of God church here.

Mrs. Mundy died at 1 p.m. Thursday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Edna Roberts, Kansas City. She was a former Springfield resident, moving to Kansas City five years ago.

Sellers died at 11 p.m. Friday In the Springfield MediCenter after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of the Ava area. Survivors include three sons, Kenneth, Gene, and Dale, all of Colton, four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Huff, Mrs.

Daisy Huff, Mrs. Wilma Haden and Miss Ora Sellers, all of Ava; one brother, Berl, of Ava; and five grandchildren. MRS. LOIS N. WEATHERS Mrs.

Lois N. Weathers, 79, of 721 East Normal, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Cox Medical Center after a short illness. Mrs. Weathers was a life- long resident of Springfield and a member of the First Baptist Church for 62 years.

Survivors include a son, Glenn of Topeka, a daughter, Marqua Weathers, of the home; and three grandchildren. Arrangements will be announced by Ralph Thieme. ELMER BLAIR GAINESVILLE Services for Elmer Blair, 77, of 2036 West Elm in Springfield, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Christian Church here with the Rev. Wiley McGhee officiating.

Burial will be In the Gainesville city cemetery under the direction of Clinking-beard of Ava. Mr. Blair died early Saturday morning at his home after a short illness. He moved to Springfield from Gainesville 34 years ago. Survivors include a step-son.

f. i Til i Waynesville musician dies in fire at his home Svwiai The Newt ml Lester WAYNESVILLE Services will be Wednesday for a 21-year-old Waynesville musician who died Saturday in a predawn fire at his home. Police officers identified the victim as Charles W. Colton Jr. Authorities said that Colton and his roommate, Jim Lange, arrived at their borne shortly before I a.m.

Saturday. Colton remained in the car "to charge up the battery," and Lange entered the house and discovered smoke coming from a small room that used to be the kitchen. Lange ran next door to call the fire department, and remained there for about four minutes, reports said. Lange told officers he then returned to the car but Colton bad apparently entered the blazing structure.
