AREA Levi James Mitchell, 17-month-old son of Robert and Jackie Mitchell, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died Tuesday at University Hospitals, Iowa City. He was injured July 3 in an accident at his home.

Cholesterol screening The Henry County Health Department wi offer a cholesterol screening clinic Thursday in ColonaGreen Rock and Geneseo. In Colona, the screening will be p.m. at the village hall. In Geneseo, the screening will be 10-11 a.m. at the Moose Lodge.

McNamara mara retired in 1981 as a food service supervisor after 22 years at Mercy Hospital, Davenport. Ailiene Stout married Richard McNamara in 1936 in Unionville, Mo. He died in 1966. She was a member of Mercy Hospital Retirees and enjoyed reading. Memorials may be made to Scott County Hospice.

Survivors include daughters, Sandra (Mrs. John) Taylor and Michele (Mrs. Larry) Bennett, both of Bettendorf; Corailee (Mrs. Larry) Kindelsperger, Camanche, Iowa; Karla (Mrs. Richard) Felske, Moline; and Kathy (Mrs.

Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will geant stationed in several places, including Germany and Korea. He then was a deputy sheriff 1982-87 for El Paso County Sheriffs Department. He had received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal Sixth Award and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal in Korea and the Expert Qualification on the M-16 rifle. He was graduate of Bettendorf High School.

Mr. Kohlhammer enjoyed dancing, roller skating and bowling. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans and Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association. Survivors include daughters, Peggy Meeks, Houston; and Christine Vasquez, Orange Park, a sister, Sandra Robb, Milan, a brother, Michael Phoenix; and Quinn York Underwood, his guardian, and other friends at Sunshine Homes. His mother, Lucille Kohlhammer, died June 2, which was his birthday.

Vincent Keller DAVENPORT Vincent J. Keller, 79, of Davenport, died Tuesday at his home. Services will be be 6-8 p.m. today. Mrs.

Mr. Ginneberge died Monday at his home. He was employed eight years as material warehouse handler at American Honda member of the Methodist faith and enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling. Survivors include daughters, Rowena Jennings, Moline; Margaret Parish, Washington, Ann Pettis, Augusta, and Pat Jef-ford and Phillis Edwards, both of Camden, sons, Doyle and Darrel both of Moline; and Carlos, New Orleans; 35 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; a great-greatgrandchild; and a sister, Rachel Brown, Harrisburg, Ark. 2 p.m.

Services for Janet Beth Willy, 51, of Arvada, formerly of Alpha, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Alpha Baptist Church. Burial will be in Alpha Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home, Alpha.

Mrs. Willy died Saturday at Lutheran Medical Center, Wheat Ridge, Colo. She taught four years at Morton West High School, Chicago, and later was a secretary, taught part-time and tutored students in shorthand. Janet McLaughlin married John Willy in 1967 in Alpha. She was a graduate of Illinois State University, Normal.

Memorials may be made to Alpha Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kathy Willy, and a son, Jim, both of ArvadaJ a sister, Karin Ciaccio, Woodhull; and a brother, Ralph McLaughlin, Atlanta. Helen Bennison KEWANEE, 111. Services for Helen E. Bennison, 93, will be 2 p.m.

today at First United Methodist Church, Kewanee. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Kewanee. Visitation will be p.m. today at the church. Miss Bennison died Saturday at Kewanee Hospital.

Cavanagh and Schueneman Funeral Home, Kewanee, is in charge of arrangements. She taught at Wethersfield High School, Kewanee, and worked for her father as bookkeeper at Bennison Brothers Paper and Supply Kewanee. She was a graduate of Northwestern University. Miss Bennison was a member of First United Methodist Church, Kewanee, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the chancel choir, and was attendance secretary. She also was active in several women's groups with the church.

Memorials may be-made to the church. Vernon Weinrich CAMBRIDGE, 111. Vernon E. Weinrich, 82, died Tuesday at Trinity Medical Center-East Campus, Moline. Services will be 1:30 p.m.

Friday at Cambridge Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Homes, Cambridge. Mr.

Weinrich retired in 1971 after 28 years at John Deere Spreader Works and two years at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline. He married Annabelle Cowden in 1935 in Cambridge. His memberships included the church, Cambridge Bowling Association and United Auto Workers Local 865, East Moline. He also was a charter member of Valley View County Club, Cambridge. He loved golf, bowling, fishing, the Chicago Cubs and his home.

Memorials may be made to the Oncology Department at Trinity Medical Center-East Campus, Moline. Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry, Cambridge; and two grandchildren. Ruth Bauer KEWANEE, 111. Services for Ruth C. Bauer, 86, will be 1 1 a.m.

Thursday at Rux Funeral Home, Kewanee. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Kewanee. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday. Miss Bauer died Monday at her home.

She retired as executive secretary to Dean Stoner at Kewanee Boiler. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Rebecca Circle and a charter member of Professional Secretaries International. She was a 1924 graduate of Kewanee High School and remained active in the group, which met monthly. She enjoyed flower gardening.

Memorials may be made to Kewanee Chapter of Professional Secretaries International and a favorite charity. Survivors include cousins. Donald Little GENESEO, 111. Services for Donald M. Little, 68, will be 11 a.m.

Saturday at Wright Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Homes, Geneseo. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday. Mr.

Little died Monday at his farm. He owned and operated Little's Disposal Service, Geneseo, since 1959. He also owned and operated Little's Phillips 66 Service and Restaurant, Geneseo, 1956-64. After his discharge from the Navy, he farmed for a time in the Atkinson and Geneseo areas. He married Rachel Powell in 1946 in Moline.

He married Roberta Conrad in 1 980 in St. Louis. Mr. Little was a member of Geneseo Moose Lodge 990, Don Cherry Post 5083 Veterans of Foreign Wars and Shearer Post 350, American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing cards.

Memorials may be made to Ba-ten's Disease Foundation and Salvation Army Flood Relief Fund. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jessica, and sons, Jeremy and Michael, all at home; brothers, Greg Ginneberge, Iowa City; and Bernie Welter, Dubuque, Iowa; and his mother, Alice Ginneberge, Davenport. He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice, and a brother, Christopher. Mr. Keller retired in 1977 as a precision machinist after 12 years at Bendix Davenport. Before that, he worked at Railway Express, Davenport.

He married Elizabeth Bennett in 1938 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mr. Keller was a life member of Davenport Moose "and Davenport Eagles and a member of Quad-City Plus 60 Club. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Scott County. Survivors include his wife; sons, Vincent Moline; Lee William, Bettendorf; and John Davenport; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Nicholson Funeral Home, Area deaths Lance Jargo TEEDS GROVE, Iowa Lance Jargo, the l'A-year-old son of Charles and Nancy Fogle Jargo, died Tuesday in a farm accident on his father's farm near Teeds Grove.

Lance was born Dec. 29, 1991, in Clinton. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a sister, Karissa, and a brother, Travis, both at home; his grandparents, Margaret Fogle, Bettendorf; and Marvin Jargo, Clinton; his great-grandparents, Martha Bultinck, Moline; and A.E. Westphal, 79, died Tuesday at his home. Services will be 1 1 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Wyoming. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m.

Thursday at Hayden Funeral Home, Wyoming. Mr. Westphal married Ruth He-neke in 1940 in Davenport. They made their home on the family farm east of Wyoming. He farmed there until 1973, when they retired and moved into Wyoming.

He was a member of the church. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sandra (Mrs. Jerry) Manwiller, West Des Moines; and Mona (Mrs. Dana) Brenneman, Des Moines; sons, James, Bettendorf; and Charles, Wyoming; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Ray.

Elwin Landherr MORRISON, 111. Elwin Landherr, 82,. died Tuesday at Morrison Community Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St.

Peter's Lutheran Church, Morrison, where prayers will be said at 1:45 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Morrison Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

Mr. Landherr was bookkeeper and then manager of Morrison Elevator. He also worked several years at Morrison Credit Union. He married Doris Popkins in 1935 in Morrison. She died in 1986.

He was a graduate of Brown's Business College, Sterling. Mr. Landherr was a member of the church and had held a number of offices and was a member of several bowling leagues. Memorials may be made to the church. Survivors include a daughter, Judith Landherr, Rock Falls; and a brother, Arthur, Morrison.

Helen Howard married Ben Thomas in 1945 in Davenport. He died in 1989. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the church and a former member of the Elks. She enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren.

The new pay scale, approved by the city council Monday night, will allow salary increases for city env-ployees based on length of service up to 27 years. The new plan is ar propriate and provides a fair application that is long overdue, police chief John Soenksen said. Salary increases for city official? can be earned: By an annual cost of living increase. By steps based on length of service to the city. By grade increases earned by performance as recommended by the supervisor and approved by the council.

The council also: Approved safety resolutions as part of a program city coordinator Jim Webb is establishing to comply with OSHA standards. i Re-appointed Ruth Clark and. Tony Tommasi to six-year terms on the Tipton Library Board. Mary Wethington was named to replace Sylvia Gould, who resigned from the board. Kahl Home for Mr.

Balluff the Aged, Davenport. He retired in 1963 as a fabric worker at Rock Island Arsenal. He married Margaret O'Connor in 1936 in Davenport. She died in 1976. He married Louise McClus-key Embree in 1981 in Bettendorf.

He served in the Army 1919-21 and was last stationed at West Point. Mr. Balluff was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf; Knights of Columbus 532, Davenport; Quad-City Plus 60 Club; National Association of Retired Federal Employees; and St. John Vianney Bible Class.

He and his wife had traveled to Canada, Europe and Austria. They also went on many senior travel trips including aboard the S.S. Norway to the Caribbean Sea and cruises to Alaska and Hawaii. He also was a Cubs fan. Memorials may be made to Kahl Home and St.

Samantha Willlngham DAVENPORT Private services for Samantha Willingham, infant daughter of Tammy Willingham, 3008 Heatherton Court, were Monday at Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport. Samantha died at birth July 15 at St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport.

Orr's Mortuary, Rock, Island, was charge of line. She was a graduate of a Moline beauty school and worked several years in the salon at the New York Store, Moline. She later was employed at the former International Harvester East Moline. Elizabeth Lulich married Robert Raney in 1946 in East Moline. After moving around the country during his military career, they returned to Moline in 1965.

She was a member of the church and Croatian Crest Club, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church and a favorite charity. Survivors include her husband; daughters, Rosemary (Mrs. Alan) Shoemaker, Geneseo, Elizabeth (Mrs. Michael) Rogers, Andover, Kathleen (Mrs.

1, Silvis Robert Stonebraker SILVIS, 111. Services for Robert B. Stonebraker, 84, of 325 2nd will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Open Bible Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary East Moline. Mr. Stonebraker died Monday at Illini Hospital, Silvis. He retired in 1975 as a machinist after more than 48 years at the former Fairbanks Morris East Moline.

He married Fern Richmond in 1933 in Sterling. She died Oct. 29, 1992. Mr. Stonebraker was a member of the church and the Social Club at Warren Towers.

He enjoyed crafts, making dinner napkins, doing puzzles and playing pool. He also was a Cubs fan. Memorials may be made to the church.
