Miller Sale Barn. Mrs. Miller Florence Lamp married L.A. "Ike" Miller in 1922 in Davenport. He died in 1965.

He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Davenport Elks Lodge 298, Retirees Gold League at Duck Creek, SNAFU Bowling League, NARFE and Plus 60 Club.

Doolan, 84, of Davenport, died Saturday at Genesis Medical CenterWest Campus, Davenport. Private services and burial will be held.

McGinnis, Chambers and Sass Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is in charge of arrangements. She was employed at M.L. Parker Davenport, during World War II. Sylvia Dodson married Albert Doolan in 1930 in St. Charles, Mo.

He died in 1970. She was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include a daughter, Marva Laster, Davenport; a son, Albert, Council Bluffs, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements at Runge, Davenport. AREA Helen Bauer, 82, of Clinton, lowa, died Saturday at Samaritan Hospital North, Clinton.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Snell-Zomig, Clinton, where further arrangements are pending.

Edna M. Carlson Murphy, 76, formerly of Clinton, lowa, died Friday at the home of her daughter in Richland, Wash. Arrangements at Snell-Zornig, Clinton, lowa. Delwyn Keith Kroger DAVENPORT Delwyn Keith Kroger, 60, of Davenport, died Saturday at his home after an extended illness. There will be no services.

The body has been cremated. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements. He was employed as a driver and sales- Mr. Kroger man at Valley Beverage, Davenport, for 30 years. He married Rose Kirkpatrick in 1959 in Davenport.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Davenport. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. 4th died Saturday at Trinity Medical CenterEast Campus, Moline. Mrs. Miller She was employed as printing librarian at Midland Press Davenport, for 12 years. In earlier years, she had worked at both Kraft Foods and Roy Roth both in Milan. She also was employed at the former Servus Rubber Rock Island.

Minnie Carlson married Roy J. Miller in 1948 in Rock Island. He died in 1987. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Milan; associate member of Modern Woodmen of America Camp 26, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the United Way.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynne (Mrs. Gene) Blanc, Moline; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Marjorie Voeller, Galesburg; Evelyn Mills, Knoxville, and Jean Hamline, East Galesburg; and Lorraine Carlson, Gales- Moline Albert Acke MOLINE Services for Albert A. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Mr.

Acke died Friday at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines. He was employed at the former John Deere Plow Planter Works, Moline. He married Mary DeVos in 1939 in Moline. She died in 1975. He served in the Navy during World War II.

Memorials may be made to the church. Survivors include sons, Frank, Sterling, and Edward, Roseville, two grandchildren; and a brother, John, Moline. Rock Island Dorothy Fitch Marshall ROCK ISLAND Services for Dorothy Fitch Marshall of Wauwatosa, formerly of Rock Island, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. There will be no visitation.

WheeIan Funeral Home, Rock Island, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Marshall died June 14 at the home of a daughter in Burlingame, Calif. In earlier years, she was a fourth-grade teacher in Rock Island public schools. She moved to Wauwatosa in 1939.

Dorothy Fitch married Guy Frederick Marshall. He died in 1969. She attended the Art Institute of Chicago. She graduated from Augustana College, Rock Island. She was a member of Christ King Church, Wauwatosa; a Girl Scout leader in earlier years and a volunteer fundraiser for the Carmelite Sisters.

She founded the bridge marathon in the 1950s at Christ King Church, which raised money for charity over the years. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Cusick, Burlingame; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a niece, Mary Rose DeMey, East Moline; and nephews, George Marshall, Rock Island; and William Marshall, East Moline. Barton Deere Omaha, in 1935. He was transferred to John Deere Moline, in 1945. He retired from the product research department in 1972. He married Opal Archer in 1936 in Vermillion, S.D. He was a member of South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island; a trustee and later an elder of the church.

He was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity and Phi Delta Theta social fraternity. He was a member of the Boy Scout Council, board of directors of Arrowhead Ranch, Coal Valley, the South Dakota and Nebraska Bar associations, American Society of Agricultural Engineers, Rock Island Kiwanis Club, Rock Island Golden Kiwanis Club and Short Hills Country Club, East Moline. He attended the University of Illinois. He graduated in 1935 from the University of South Dakota with a L.L.B. law degree.

Memorials may be made to the church or Arrowhead Ranch. Survivors include his wife; sons, Robert, Fremont, Thomas, Colorado Springs; two grandsons; a brother, F.E. Barton, Menio Park, Walcott Hugo Stender WALCOTT, Iowa Hugo Stender, 79, of Walcott, died Saturday at Crest Health Center, Davenport. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport.

Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday. He married Loretta Mumm in 1983. He married Dorothy Sissel 1937 in Davenport.

She died in 1985 in Walcott. He was a social member of the Walcott American Legion, a member of the Walcott Community Club and Davenport Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing cards. Memorials may be made to Walcott Fire Department. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sharon Litten, Wilton, Iowa; and Lola McCain, Davenport; stepdaughters, Karen Puck, Walcott; Diane Thiering, Durant, Iowa; Donna VanZandt, Wilton; and Debbie Frese, Davenport; four children; grandchildren; 12 eight great and three step-great-grandchildren.

Reynolds Wilma Zachert REYNOLDS, Ill. Services for Wilma P. Zachert, 83, of 19400 183rd Ave. will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Reiser-Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo.

Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Taylor Ridge. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Zachert died Friday at her residence.

Wilma Mayhew married William Carroll Zachert in 1930 in Dixon, Ill. He died in 1961. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Survivors include a son, Dale, Aledo; and three East Moline Julia Norin EAST MOLINE Julia M. Norin, 70, of 2215 5th died Saturday at Illini Hospital, Silvis.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, Ill. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday.

She was employed as a cook in the Henry County Jail. Julia Hagerman married Clarence Norin in 1945 in East Moline. He died in 1981. She was past president of the Orion Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a volunteer at Illini Hospital and for the Red Cross. A memorial fund is being established.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Hull (Mrs. Emmitt) Littrell, East Moline; and Donna (Mrs. Peter) Kotch, Cambridge, sons, Mitchell, Cambridge; and Michael, Andover; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Area deaths Evelyn Allen MAQUOKETA, Iowa Memorial services for Evelyn M. Allen, 76, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Maquoketa, Bellevue and Moline, will be 10:30 a.m.

Tuesday at United Church of Christ, Maquoketa. Burial was March 12 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa. Haylock, O'Hara and Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa, was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Allen died March 9 at Capital City Nursing Home, Austin.

Evelyn Esfeld married Walter Allen in 1942 in Burlington, Iowa. He died in 1978. She and her husband owned and operated drive-in theaters in the Quad-City area. They were some of the original partners who built the 61 Drive-In Theater in Maquoketa in 1949. After that, they owned and operated the Corral Drive-In, Moline, and Bel-Air Drive-In, Davenport.

She was past president of the Outlook Club and PTA and was active in the Knights of Pythias, all in Maquoketa. Survivors include a daughter, Sigird Battjes, Pasadena, a son, Jeffrey, Austin; four granddaughters; and a sister, Elva Coon, of California. Albert Gritton MAQUOKETA, Iowa Services for Albert R. Gritton, 74, of Maquoketa, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Haylock, O'Hara and Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Maquoketa. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Gritton died Thursday at his home.

He was employed as a machinist at Red Jacket, Davenport, for 17 years, retiring in 1985. He married Agnes Elaine Cooper in 1969 in East Dubuque, Ill. She died Feb. 13. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Maquoketa.

A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include daughters, Janice (Mrs. Kent) Strackbien, Lowden, Iowa; and Debra (Mrs. Clint) Harms, Aurora, a stepdaughter, Patti (Mrs. Mike) Fahrenkrug, DeWitt, Iowa; a stepson, Jeff Adams, King Salem, Alaska; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; sisters, Vella Dickinson, Ethel (Mrs.

Archibald) Safley, and a twin sister, Alberta Dugger, all of Tipton, Iowa; and Gladys (Mrs. Gene) King, Solon, Iowa; and a brother, Howard, Clarence, Iowa. Wesley Wilson GENESEO, Ill. Wesley G. "Nooks" Wilson, 84, of Geneseo, died Saturday at Trinity Medical Center-East Campus, Moline.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Geneseo. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge, Ill. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Wright Chapel of StackhouseMoore Funeral Home, Geneseo.

He was employed at John Deere Harvester Works, Moline, before World War II. After the war, he was employed at the Henry County Highway Department. He later owned and operated Wilson's SelfServe Grocery Store, Geneseo, for several years. He also was public works director for the City of Geneseo for 15 years. He retired in 1975.

He married Rosetta Gault in 1943 in Kahoka, Mo. He served as an ambulance driver in the Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the church, the church property committee and Serendipity Club of the church. He was known as "The Candyman" because he gave candies to all of the children of the church each Sunday morning. He was a member of Stewart Lodge 92 AF and AM; Order of the Eastern Star; Shearer Post 350 American Legion; Don Cherry Wars Post 5083 Veterans of Forand Geneseo Moose Lodge 990.

Memorials may be made to the church. Survivors include his wife and a sister, Floris (Mrs. Jack) Andrews, Geneseo. Rachel Miller NEW BOSOTON, Ill. Services for Rachel B.

He married Margaret Baldridge in 1952 in Davenport. He was a member of the church, Operator's Union Local 537, Rock Island; and the Davenport Moose Club.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and being in the outdoors. Memorials may be made to the church. He farmed in northwest Davenport for a number of years. He also was employed at Sivyer Steel Bettendorf, for 17 years, retiring in 1980 as a foreman. He married Betty Stuckel in 1945 in Davenport. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the church, Knights of Clumbus, Davenport; and Davenport Moose Club and American Foundrymen's Association.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Holy Family Building Fund. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debra (Mrs. Kevin) Coonts, Davenport; sons, Darrell, Kalispell, Dean, Dale, and David, all of Davenport; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Rita Ineichen, Buffalo, Iowa; Verlette Kone, Davenport; and Vivienne Bryant, Warrensville, and brother, DIXON, Iowa Arthur E. Wiese, 78, of Dixon, died Saturday at his home.

He was a selfemployed farmer. He oper- Mr. Wiese Mr. Wiese ated a century farm in the Dixon area, retiring in 1984. He was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church, Dixon.

He was director of First Trust and Savings of Wheatland. He was past president of Wheatland Bancorporation, and a member of the Scott County Farm Bureau. Memorials may be made to the church. Survivors include nephews, John Wiese, Tipton; and Robert Wiese, Bettendorf; and nine greatnieces and great-nephews. Norman Rohwedder DURANT, Iowa Services for Norman H.

Rohwedder, 67, of Durant, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Burial will be in Durant Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Rohwedder died Friday at University Hospitals, Iowa City. He farmed in Cedar County near Sunbury for 17 years, retiring in 1976. is Friday Samari- emcata- Mr. Rohwedder He married Gladys Witt in 1953 in Bennett, Iowa.

He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Walcott American Legion, a charterlifetime member of the Durant Veterans of Foreign Wars and 40 and 8 of the Walcott American Legion. He collected coins and beer can collectibles. Memorials may be made to Durant Ambulance or Walcott American Legion. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth, West Liberty; four grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Shepard, Silvis, and a brother, Melvin, Stockton, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Donavan, in 1974, and David in 1968, and a daughter, Doris, in 1967. Margaret Kofron CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa Margaret Kofron, 86, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Iowa City, died June 29 at Living Care West Nursing Home, Cedar Rapids. Services were Saturday at St. Bridgetts Catholic Church, rural Johnson County. Burial was in St.

Bridgetts Cemetery. Barker Funeral Home, West Branch, was in charge of arrangements. Margaret Pochobradsky married George Kofron in 1943 in Cedar Rapids. She taught in a country school south of Ely from 1941-43. She also taught at Morley School, Johnson County.

She and her husband farmed north of Iowa City for the past several years. She graduated from Coe College with a degree in botany and zoology. She took post-graduate studies at the University of Northern Iowa and the University of Wisconsin.
