I TIMES OBITUARIES 21 Tuesday, Dec. 19, 1989 Davenport Vernon Betz DAVENPORT Services for Vernon H. Betz, 75, will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today. Mr. Betz died Sunday at his home. He retired as a tool and diemaker at Mast Development Davenport.

Before that, he worked at Victor Mr. Betz Antimatagraph, Davenport. He was a member of the Antique Auto Club of Davenport. He restored and designed automobiles. Memorials may be made to Scott County Humane Society.

Survivors include a sister, Wallola Stutzer, and a nephew, David Stutzer, both of Durango, Colo. Kenneth Davis DAVENPORT Services for Kenneth E. Davis, 60, of 715 W. 4th will be 2:30 p.m. today at Runge Mortuary.

Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. He died Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport. He was a self-employed mechanic and automobile body repairman. Memorials may be made to John Lewis Coffee House, Davenport.

Survivors include sons, Terry, Coal Valley, and Bill, Davenport; seven grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Bill Lindle, Princeton, Iowa. Ada Samuelson DAVENPORT Ada B. Samuelson, 95, a resident of Americana Healthcare Center, died Monday at the center. Arrangements are pending at Runge Mortuary. Carl Nonnenmacher DeWITT, Iowa Carl A.

Nonnenmacher, 86, formerly of Davenport, died Monday at West Wing Place, De Witt. He worked as a sales promotional representative 39 years at Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Co. Mr. Nonnenmacher married Leona Steadman in 1931 in Crown Point, Ind. She died in 1982.

There will be no visitation. Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at Davenport Memorial Park. He was a professional musician. Survivors include a son, Phillip, Wildwood, two granddaughters; and a sister, Francs Kenward, Melvin, Ill.

Rev. John Kennedy DAVENPORT The Rev. John T. Kennedy, 84, a resident of Kahl Home for the Aged and Infirm, died Monday at the home. Arrangements are pending at Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home.

He retired in 1983 as a machine repairman after 36 years at John Deere Spreader Works, East Moline, and Parts Distribution Center, Milan. Mr.

Nichols married Geneva Heydeman in 1952 in Colona, Ill. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Services will be 11 a.m.

Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery mausoleum. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army of occupation. He was a member of the church.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Barbara Lolos, Casa Grande, sons, David and Allan, both of Moline; and two grandchildren. Rock Island Mildred Dickinson ROCK ISLAND Mildred Cardall Dickinson, 93, Winston Salem, N.C., formerly of Rock Island, died Monday at Meadow Brook Manor nursing home, Winston Salem. Mildred Cardall married Leonard Dickinson in 1915. He died in 1937. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today. He died Sunday at Rock Island County Health Care Center. He worked eight years in maintenance at Franciscan Hospital, Rock Mr. Bainter Island, retiring in 1980.

From 1950- 1965, he was a welder with Iowa-Illinois Gas Electric Co. Mr. Bainter married Anna Parrish Fifer in 1949. She died in 1979. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific theatre.

He was a member of 15th Avenue Christian Church, Rock Island, and American Legion Post 246, Moline. Survivors include daughters, Beverly Lanphear, Shelton, and Sue (Mrs. Russel) McCannon, Taylor Ridge, sons, Daniel Fifer of California; Donald Fifer, Andalusia, Dennis Fifer, San Jose, and Donald Bainter, Andalusia; 19 grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren. today at Knox-Larson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens. He died Saturday at his home. He worked as a set-up man at John Deere Planter Works, Moline, retiring in 1969 after 25 years. He also worked at a gasoline station in Rock Island.

Mr. Huff Mr. Huff married Evelyn Vaughn in 1937 in Lewiston, Ill. She died in 1967. He was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and a former member of United Auto Workers 434.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Hotle, 81, of 501 30th died Monday at United Medical Center, Moline. She retired in 1973 from the auditing department after 19 years at Royal Neighbors, Rock Island. Helen Smith married Homer Hotle in 1926 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He died Jan. 3, 1985.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today. Mildred Blaine married Lawrence Bird in 1928. He died in 1952. She married Lawrence McNeely in 1954 in Davenport.

He died in 1974. She was employed at John Deere Harvester, East Moline, in the 19408. She then worked as a waitress at the New Windsor restaurants, Chat' Chew and Circle Inn. She was a member of New Windsor United Presbyterian Church and a former member of the church's Golden Circle. Memorials may be made to TriCounty Ambulance District or the church.

Survivors include a son, Leonard Bird, New Windsor; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Pauline McNeil and Bessie McGaughy, both of New Windsor. Burton Stanek SABULA, Iowa Services for Burton Stanek, 66, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Sabula United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sabula. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Preston. Mr. Stanek died Sunday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Iowa City. He retired in 1983 from Collis Clinton. He was an Army veteran of World War II, landing in France on D-Day.

He was a member of the church and Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion, both of Sabula. Survivors include sisters, Dorothy O'Brien, Rockford, and Zillah Smith, Bellevue, and brothers, Ben, Bellevue, and Paul, Deep River, and nieces and nephews.
