Charles W. Wells, 79, of Hobart, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 1997. Mr. W7ells had been a lifelong Hobart resident He worked at U.S. Steel, Southern Life Insurance Company, owned and operated Wells Service Center and later the Broadway Service Station, and also was employed by Isak-son Motors.

A volunteer with Sl Mary Medical Center Auxiliary Red Coats. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 56 years serving as a Deacon, Trustee and Elder and also served as Church Treasurer. Survived by wife of 55 years, Bernice (nee Moll) Wells; four children, James (Ethel) Wells of Portage, Lorilei (Ronald) Moore of West Burlington, Iowa, Cynthia Homan of San Pierre, IN. and Chuck (Nila) Wells of South Bend; nine grandchildren: Geoff Wells, Susan Wells, Matthew Moore, Mark Moore, Dawn Moore, Carrie Block, Jennifer Homan, Charlie Wells and Kristi Wells; two great grandchildren, Megan Block and Kaleb Homan; brothers and sister, Helen De-Fries of Cochise, AZ, Howard Wells of Loveland, Ohio, Edward Wells of Hobart and Richard Wells of Bloomington, LN. Preceded in death by brother, Robert Wells.

He was bom on September 15th in the year of 1915 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Survived by wife, Geriminia; brothers, Bernardo of Arecibo and Juan from San Juan, Puerto Rico; children, Andrew Pastoriza Jr. from Camden, N.J- Dalia (Nick) Spanos of Crown Point, Adava (Manuel) Madonaldo of Lake Station, Nelson Pastoriza of Valparaiso, IN. He leaves behind eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchil-dren Preceded in death by his first; wife Inez, August 14, 1985. Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 30, 1997 at Funeraria Gonzalez Inc, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico at 2 p.m.

Burial will be at the Arecibo Community Cemetery. He will be buried next to his mother, Virginia and brother, Carmello. He will be sadly missed by his family.
