To a perfect stranger she cried out, "Follow that girl, learn where she is stopping and I'll pay you for your trouble." The stranger essayed the role of detective. He followed the girl to the Nole home on Col fay. Haynes here entered Into the cast.

He had never seen the Seamore woman or the girl before, according to what has been learned of the case. He was standing nearby when the Seamore woman induced the stranger to follow the girl. Haynes Steals tb Girl. Haynes, a derelict himself awaited developments. He waited nearby for the embryo sleuth to make his report.

Soon the stranger returned and Informed the Seamore woman of the girl's stopping place. Haynes overheard tha conversation and he Instantly conceived an Idea of getting the girl In hie own possession. It was a battle of wits and he proved himself equal to tho emergency. While the woman was hosten-ing away In an opposite direction Haynes went to the Noe home and asked for the girl. When she appeared he poured into the girl's ears an exciting atory.

The trainmen uspected that something was wrong and notified Sheriff Deputy Potter of Galien, was put on the trail of the- two. Meanwhile Haynes had skirted the village and was wander ing In a circle hoping to find a road that would lead to South Bend. Careful Inquiries at a farm house found him the right road and he was hurrying Into Indiana, when, the deputy overtook him. BODY OF LAD IS RECOVERED fCoatfaued from Pace LV nised as a human body. Ted Anderson and Joe Mlschav who happened to bo near, brought the body shore.

In the meantime Fred Steveni, whose residence is on the lake front, notified the police and Burns and Mc-Guan's undertaking: wagon was soon on the spot as were also Sergeant Billy Hughes and other member of the police department. The news that the body had been recovered flew like wild fire through Indiana Harbor and before the undertakers had time to get the body into the wafcon, a large gathering of the morbidly crloua had gathered around to get a look at it. The dead boy will be. burled tomorrow at Waldhelaa cemetery, Chicago. The funeral will take place from tho family home.

1521 Cedar street at :30 o'clock the remains being placed aboard the 9:18 Lake Shore train for Chicago. The funeral will be in charge of the I. O. B. Burns and McGuan acting as directors.

The pall bearers will be Morris Brenman, A. Llpner, Dr. Milton Glvln, Max Breenberger, Milton Braman and Harry Zusk. Godle was born 17 years ago in Europe and had lived In East Chicago and Indiana Harbor tor nine years. He attended the East Chicago high school having passed out of the second year of the course at the close of the last term.

He Is survived by four brothers and two sister, besides his parents. They are: Ruth, Flora, Rose and Helen and Milton and Jake Braman. PROJECTED Several changes and moves in Broadway business establishments are expected to follow in the wake of the retiremen of the J. A. LTmpleby Company from business.

It is said that Frank Kleinschmldt, the pioneer stationer, will take up the Umpleby lease on the store rooms In the Ohio building. The presental rental Is said to be $3,600 annually. Mr. Kleinschmldt said that he doesn't intend to move now but that he will In the near future seems to be the case. He has one store room in the Elchengreen building.
