Wickersham's Report Shows Large Increase Over the Quarter Ending December State Fair Association Asks for Donation The board of county commissioners met yesterday at the court house in its fourth quarterly session All members were In attendance As It was the first day of the session the business was largely routine Dr George Colllster was reappointed county physician for the year 1902 and James 1 Ayres of Star was appointed constable for Union precinct Itoad overseers were reappointed as follows: Frank Turner Highland district II Goodwin district No 1 John Miller district No II The subscription committee for the Intermountain fair fund appeared and requested that the board consider the matter of making an appropriation towards the fund No action was taken at the meeting The matter however will be considered at a later date A committee of business men appeared before the board and requested that the northern approach of the Klghth street bridge over Boise river be made wider The quarterly reports of County Clerk Wlckerrham Probate Judge Koelsch County Colllster Coroner Leu and Justice of the Peade Evans of Meridian were read and approved The rejiort of County Clerk Wicker-sham shows an extraordinary ameunt of business for the past quarter The total amount of fees received as auditor and recorder was $143290 This sum Ik nearly $23') over any preceedtng quarter In 1901 and Is over $300 more than the corresponding quarter of 1900 The total business for the year 1901 Is $33127 more than the preceding year The report of Probate Judge Koelsch shows that the total sum turned Into the county treasury for probate mat tci-s civil suits and fines was $23060 There were nine criminal cases In the probate court during the quarter a total of $12463 being received as fees Dr Colllster's report shows that 30 cases have been treated at the county hospital during the quarter It also states the hospital has been kept free from epidemic diseases and that Its conditions is excellent Coroner Lee reports three inquests during the quarter The board ad Journed until 10 today GONE TO FOSSIL Boise Man Leaves for Idaho-Wyoming Oil Company Properties Twiggs one of the heaviest stock holders In the Idaho-Wyorplng Oil company departed last evening for the Fossil Wyo oil fields where the company's properties are located Mr Twiggs will oversee the unloading of the drilling machinery while absent and expects to remain a number of days Mr Twiggs stated yesterday that the machinery would be set up at once It is hoped to be able to begin drilling by February 1 From Charles Havens vs Stales Dunbar respondents the court permitted John Rice who appeared as attorney for respondent Dunbar to withdraw his name as attorney in the case He Informed the court that it was not his intention to appear Court adjourned until 10 o'clock today AMUSEMENTS The Della Pringle company opened a popular price engagement at the Columbia last night to a large house presenting "The Princess of Paris' a melodrama It was apparent from the first that the piece was too heavy for the company which would do much better in comedy The cast was all out of proportion for such a production The piece was elaborately staged and costumed The people enjoyed themselves however for features aside from the play itself seemed to give them a very nice entertainment None but received his or her worth Some very acceptable specialties Including illustrated songs and an orchestra of no little merit contributed to the entertainment Tonight the company will present a piece that contains
