Work on the second leg of the six-year reconstruction project begins March 1 at the Broadway interchange. The six-year project involves the first complete reconstruction of the Borman since it was built 50. years ago.

It runs from Calumet Avenue to just east of Interstate 65 and will widen the roadway to four lanes in each direction. The reconstruction was designed to handle traffic for the next 20 years and is scheduled for completion in December 2009.
