JOHN MILLER Telephone WALNUT CREEK-TRAIL The Ladies Class of Trail United Church of Christ will meet in the Lillian Horrisberger home at Beach City Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Theme for the program will be Thanksgiving. The class is collecting white or light-colored shirts for a hospital gown project. the 12th annual Mennonite disaster service meeting of the Eastern Division will be held in Crown Hill Mennonite Church. The MYF was in charge of the service Sunday night. A special offering will be taken within the next few weeks for CROP.

Mineral City Drive Nets $64 for Fund Canton CANTON Martin Essex of Columbus, state superintendent of public instruction, will be in North Canton Sunday afternoon. He will confer at 1:15 with the Stark County Vocational School District advisory committee, board members and Supl, William A. Porter in the Chamber of Commerce building office at 126 S. Main si. Essex will outline services available to the district through his office, including curriculum planning, building construction and teacher recruitment and training. Donkey Drags Boy to Death MEEKER, Colo. (AP) Nine-year-old Timothy Alan Ray was dragged to death by a donkey he lassoed on the Bar Ranch near this western Colorado town.

Authorities said the donkey was a pet of Timothy and his sister, Sharry, 6, but the animal apparently became frightened Monday when the lasso settled around its neck.
