RECORDS The News-Messenger, Fremont, Ohio, Saturday, March 29, 1997 Deaths Mary E. Dick Feb. 20, 1914 March 27, 1997 Mary E. Dick, 83, formerly of Morrison Street, died Thursday at Memorial Hospital. She was born in Clyde, the daughter of George and Emma H.

(Bouyack) Ritchey. She married Walter F. Dick on July 7, 1935 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clyde. He preceded her on Jan.

25, 1987. Mrs. Dick was a 1932 graduate of York High School, was a homemaker and had worked at J.C. Penney's Company during the 1950's. She was a member of the Women's Circle of St.

Mark's Lutheran Church, was secretary of Church Women United, president of the Women of the Church, and was the first woman to be on St. Mark's Church Council. She was also a Hospice volunteer and a Camp Fire Girls Guardian. Survivors include son Haldon C. Dick of Corvallis, daughters Audrey Ann Minier of Fremont, Arlene Martin of Port Clinton, and Annette Bruneau of Abilene, Texas; brother James Ritchey of Clyde; and 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, sisters Ruth Holmes, Margaret Hintz, and Irene King; brothers William and Lewis Ritchey. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Sunday at the WonderlyHorvath Funeral Home and at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Richard Roberts June 25, 1926 March 27, 1997 Richard K. Roberts, 70, Perrysburg, died Thursday at Wood County Hospital.

Born in Bradner, he was the son of Wilbur and Florence (Evans) Roberts. He married Ilene Lerche on April 11, 1947, in Stony Ridge, and she survives. He was a section foreman for the CSX Railroad in Walbridge, retiring in 1987 after 43 years in service. He also was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

There are cousins and other relatives who survive in the Gibsonburg area. Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Marsh Funeral Home in Luckey, with burial in Restlawn Memorial Park in Perrysburg. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 2 to 4 p.m.

Carl Trivett Feb. 24, 1910 March 28, 1997 Long-time Fremont physician, Dr. J. Carl Trivett, 87, died Friday at his residence, 414 Stewart Drive. Born in Freeling, he was the son of Wiley B.

and Minnie Lee (Mullins) Trivett. On Feb. 3, 1934 he married Jeane C. (Calloway) Trivett in Richmond, Va. She preceded him on Jan.

28, 1997. Dr. Trivett was a Fremont physician from 1956 to 1975 and owned and operated the former Fremont Community Hospital and Clinic until 1966. He was a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia in 1935, and did his post-graduate studies at the Washington School of Medicine and St. Alexia Hospital in Cleveland.

He was a member of the Sandusky County Board of Health for 17 years. Surviving are daughter Joan C. Trivett of Laguna Beach, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was also preceded by son J. Carl Trivett Jr.

and infant daughter Deborah. Memorial services will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital. Arrangements were made by Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home. Genevieve W.

Black March 11, 1921 March 28, 1997 Clyde resident, Genevieve W. Black, 76, Cambridge Court, died Friday at home. She was born in Bellevue, the daughter of Alva A. and Rilla A. (Hall) Walden.

On Feb. 27, 1948 she married Cloyce Black and he preceded her on Sept. 6, 1991. Mrs. Black was a 1941 graduate of Clyde High School, a member of the Clyde Christian Church and their Christian Woman's Federation.

She was also a member and past president of the Clyde American legion Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and a 1986 retiree of the Clyde Public Library. She is survived by daughter Hope Christine Black of Clyde; son Robert Alan Black of South Miami, sister Ruth E. Hartsel of Painsville; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded by son Donald Black in 1996.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Clyde Christian Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the MitchellAuxter Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Clyde Christian Church air conditioning fund or to the family.

Police search pastor's home, church office PORT CLINTON The pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Danbury Township, who is currently facing a felony theft charge, is now being accused of watching women and girls undress as they prepared for weddings. Danbury Township Police Friday spent four hours searching the church and residence of the Rev. Douglas DeVos, 541 S. Church for video and audio taping equipment.

Although the peeping allegation contained in the search warrant is six years old, the informant said he came forward after reading about DeVos' run-in with the law over the burglary charge, Danbury Police Chief Steve Pitzer said. of 'peeping' in search warrant ANN MILANOWSKI Staff writer Among items seized were a videocassette recorder and computer equipment, Pitzer said.
