Ballots and instructions for voting were mailed to every known farm owner, tenant or sharecropper and their wives in the county on Aug.

Any farmer who is of legal age and has an interest in a farm as owner, tenant or sharecropper and any farmer not of legal age in change of the supervision and conduct of a farm operation on the entire farm shall be eligible to vote for commiteemen in bhe community in which he has such an interest. The wife of a farmer to vote also shall bo eligible to cast her ballot. Mrs. Johnson said she had been told by the ARC local board members that they (had signed the contract for the first sax months of the fiscal year which will end Dec. 31. This program belongs to the people of the county and must be supported by them. The cost of the program to the county is $254 for six montihs and the required amount of blood.

If the people do not care to support the program with both funds and blood during bhe two visits set for the six- montfh period, the (program will be dropped. The Central-Texas Blood Center is cancelling counties that are not making bheir quotas. Last year in four visits, ttie county gave only .163 pints of the 223 pint quota, and funds are short for the current period. The program has helped many persons in the county by having blood available in the local hospital when needed for San county residents and in other hospitals. Eagle Scout Awards Set Friday Evening Weldon Nesbitt and Dave DaY- erapont, two San Saba Boy Scouts, will be presented Eagle Scout Awards at 7 Friday, Sept.
