Housing Bill Up For Final Decision 0WW ALL DAY didn't see how the President could approve the measure. rhe, Fremont News-Messenger 3 Tuesday, June 23, 193S SGSH3B (SODS) if WASHINGTON (AP) A chop, ped-down housing bill distasteful to many Democrats and not at all certain of White House approval awaited final House action today. The compromise $1,375,000,000 nibus measure was approved lata Monday by the Senate and was expected to clear the House today. Mason said the bill would cost too much and Is not in the interests of most Americans. The 56-31 Senate vote was well short of the two-thirds needed to override a veto. It also provided a smaller margin than the 60-28 vote by which the Senate earlier had passed a larger bill. Two youths took the truck belonging to the Dunkirk fire department, part of the parade unit of the 85th annual Northwestern Ohio Volunteer Firemen's Association convention, on a wild ride down State Route 53 toward Fremont.

The youths, Robert Fritz and William Laser, made no attempts to hide their feat. In fact, they blew the siren continuously as they made their way down Route 53. The fire truck went out of control about six miles southwest of the city and ran off the highway. A special patrolman reported the accident after seeing the boys talking to a farmer at the side of the road.
