She was born in Neshoba County. She was a housewife and a member of the Camp Ground Methodist Church. Survivors are her husband, Brent Carter; two brothers, Larry Ray of Pacifia, and Olaf Ray of Carthage; and one sister, Mrs. Hettie May Thorpe of Pacifia, Calif. of Prairie, and eleven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Fulcher, Carl David Fulcher, J. Ward, Billy Ward, Freddie Fulcher and Larry and Williamstown, Ky Kev. was graduated from Jacksonville (Texas) College with the associate of arts degree, from Baylor University with the bachelor of arts degree, and from Southern Baptist Theo logical Seminary, Louisville. with the bachelor of divinity degree. At 3:30 P.M.

on April 9 Rev. Holifield will speak to the Winston County Baptist Acteens and their mothers al a tea to be held also at East Louisville Baptist Church. A nursery and study time will be provided for children at the 7 P.M. meeting. Missionary To Be WMU Speaker The Rev.

R. A. Holifield, Southern Baptist Missionary in Genoa, Italy, will be guest speaker at the Winston County Associational WMU Spring Meeting to be held at East Louisville Baptist Church at 7 P.M. on April 9. A native of Jones County, Mississippi, Rev.

Holifield has been a missionary in Italy since early 1963. Prior to his appointment he was pastor of Indian Springs Baptist Church in Laurel for five Celd, and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jimmy Goodin, Berlin Robertson, Bobby Gregory, Jerry Lee Dempsey, Tommy Toney and Junior Prisock. Mrs. Carter Buried At Camp Ground Funeral services for Mrs.

Myra R. Carter, 73, were held on April 1, at the Camp Ground Methodist Church with the Rev. W. C. Breland officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of the Harris Funeral Home. Mrs. Carter died on Cemetery. Mr. Mobley died on March 29, after a lenghty illness at the Winston County Community Hospital.

He was born in Scott County and was a member of the Flower Ridge United Methodist Church. He was employed as a lift driver. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary C. Mobley of Louisville; one son, Richard P.

Mobley of Louisville; four daughters, Mrs. Judy Hemphill, Mrs. Linda Moody, Mrs. Connie Goodin, all of Louisville; and Mrs. Anita Talbert of Pine Bluff, four sisters, Mrs.

Ruth Wilson of Greenwood, Mrs. Lessie Pugb of Jackson, Mrs. Eloise Dunn of Carrol-ton, and Mrs. Louise Robinson of Brandon; one brother, George 0. Mobley of Spring- In Florida Funeral services tor Mrs.

Jennie Newsom Hoffman were held at graveside at Auburn-dale Memorial Park, Auburn-dale, Friday, March 23, at 3 P.M., with the Rev. Carl Adams, a retired Methodist minister, officiating. Kersey Funeral Home of Auburndale was in charge of arrangements. Newsom, a former mayor of Louisville, and editor of The Sentinel published here, and Mrs. Ella Woodward Newsom, who was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Woodward. She was married to Hugh E.

Hoffman and the couple spent some years here before moving to Ocean Springs, She had been a resident of Auburndale for the past eight years. During the WPA days, Mrs. Hoffman wrote a history of Winston County, a copy of whicii is in the Winston County Library. Her early education was received in Louisville, where she was a member of the Methodist Church and an active church worker. Other than her husband, who continues to live in Auburndale, Mrs.

Hoffman is survived by a brother, Philip Calvin Newsom, of 733 West Market Street, Akron, Ohio. Mrs. McBrayer Services Held On March 28 Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Leona McBrayer, 84, widow of Earl McBrayer, were held on March 28, at the Dry Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. J.

F. Hegwood and Rev. Ken Anderson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of the Nowell Funeral Home of Philadelphia. Mrs.

McBrayer died on March 26, at the Kemper County Hospital of DeKalb. She was a member- of the Baptist Survivors are two sons, Elton McBrayer of Hartville, Ohio, and J. T. McBrayer of Gholson; two daughters, Mrs. Oscar Gcodin of DeKalb, and Mrs.
