What is the purpose of the school bond issue? Answer 1. The purpose of the school bond issue is to provide modern facilities for all the schools in the Louisville Municipal Separate School District so that every child in the district will have an opportunity to receive a quality education, Question 2. What is the total amount of the school bond issue? Answer 2.

The total amount of the school bond issue is $1,500,000.00. Question 3. When will the school bond issue election be held? Answer 3. The school bond issue election will be held January 23, 1970. Question 4.

Who is qualified to vote in the school bond issue election? Answer 4. All qualified electors residing in Winston County are eligible to vote in the school bond issue election. Question 5. Where will the people of the school district vote? Answer 5. The qualified electors residing in old Beat 2 will vote at Nanih Waiya School, located approximately 18 miles southeast of Louisville on state highway 397.

The qualified electors residing in old Beat 5 will vote at Noxapater School, located at Noxapater, Mississippi. The qualified electors residing in old Beat 1, old Beat 3. and old Beat 4 will vote at Louisville High School located at 200 Ivy Avenue, Louisville, Mississippi. The polls at each of the three locations will open at 7:00 A. M.

and close at 6:00 P. M. Question 6. Why is the election being held at the schools instead of the regular voting places? Answer 6. The laws of the State of Mississippi provide for school bond elections to be held at the schools.

This has been the policy in this school district in previous school bond elections. Question 7. How much will the school bond issue raise my taxes? Answer 7. The school bond issue will raise my taxes $8.00 for each $1,000.00 of assessed valuation. Question 8.

What will the school" situation be for 1970-71 school term if the bond issue passes? Answer 8. If the bond issue passes, the school situation for the 1970-71 school term shall be as follows: at Nanih Waiya grades 1-12 shall be taught. All students in grades 10-12 living in the Nanih Waiya zone shall attend the Nanih School. 20 of the total student enrollment at Nanih Waiya for the 1970-71 school term shall be negro. at Noxapater grades 1-12 shall be taught.

All students in grades 10-12 living in the Noxapater zone shall attend the Noxapater School. 20 of the total student enrollment at Noxapater shall be negro. at Louisville grades 9-12 shall be taught at Louisville High School. All students in grades 10-12 living in the Louisville zone shall attend the Louisville High School. 20 of the total student enrollment at Louisville High School shall be negro.

at Louisville Jr. High School grades 6-8 shall be taught. All students in grade 8 living in the Louisville zone shall attend the Louisville Jr. High School. 20 of the total student enrollment at Louisville Jr.

High School shall be negro. at Louisville Elementary School grades 1-5 shall be taught. 20 of the total student enrollment at Louisville Elementary School shall be negro. at Camlle Street School grade 1-7 and grade 9 shall be taught. Camile Street School shall be an all negro school for the 1970-71 school term.

Question 9. What will the school situation be for the 1970-71 school term If the bond issue fails to pass? Answer 9. If the bond issue fails to pass, the school situation for the 1970-71 school term shall be as follows: all students in grades 1-12 residing in the Nanih Waiya zone shall attend the Nanih Waiya School. all students in grades 1-12 residing in the Noxapater zone shall attend the Noxapater School. all students in grades 10-12 residing in the Louisville zone shall attend Louisville High School at 200 Ivy Avenue.

all students in grades 6-9 residing in the Louisville zone shall attend Camile Street School. all students in grades 1-5 residing in the Louisville zone shall attend the present Louisville Elementary and Louisville Jr. High facility located at North Columbus Avenue. Question 10. What will the school situation be for the 1971-72 school term if the bond issue passes? Answer 10.

If the bond issue passes the school situation for the 1971-72 school term and thereafter shall be as follows: all students in grades 1-12 residing in the Nanih Waiya zone shall attend the Nanih Waiya School. all students in grades 1-12 residing in the Noxapater zone shall attend the Noxapater School all students in grades 10-12 residing in the Louisville zone shall attend the Louisville High School at 200 Ivy Avenue. all students in grades 5-9 residing in the Louisville zone shall attend the new facility to be built on the fair ground property adjacent to Louisville High School. This facility will be adjacent to the new Vocational-Technical Training School to be built at this same location on Ivy Avenue. all students in grades 1-4 residing in the Louisville zone shall attend the present Louisville Elementary and Louisville Jr.

High facility located on North Columbus Avenue. Question 11. What facilities will be provided at the various ance centers if the bond, Issue passes? Answer llT'Tf the bond issue passed the following facilities shall be provided: Nanih Waiya facilities shall be provided at this attendance center to take care of a minimum of 700 students. These facilities at Nanih Waiya shall include the following: 1. Renovate and remodeling the existing classroom building 2.

Addition to present cafeteria 3. New gymnasium 4. Football field with lighting, bleachers, and field-house 5. Additional classrooms necessary to provide for a minimum of 700 students at this location. Noxapater facilities shall be provided at this attendance center to take care of a minimum of 900 students.

These facilities at Noxapater shall include a new gymnasium and additional classrooms necessary to provide for a minimum of 900 students at this location. Louisville High School additional classrooms shall be provided at this attendance center to take care of all students in grades 10-12 who reside in the Louisville zone. The Vocational-Technical Training School with a capacity of 360 students in nine (9) trades shall be located adjacent to this facility. This facility shall be available to all students in grades 10-12 throughout the district. Louisville Jr.

High School a new facility shall be constructed on Ivy Avenue adjacent to the Ixmisvllle High School to take care of all students in grade 5-9 who reside in the Louisville zone. Louisville Elementary School This facility located on North Columbus Avenue shall take care of all students in grades 1-4 who reside in the Louisville zone.
