And, In keeping with the Christmas spirit, "good will toward men" and 'tis season to be jolly" are the traditional ruling attitudes.

But, alas, such is apparently not the case in the Cali- tornia Collegiate Athletic Association, thanks to the reported Impending withdrawal of perennial conference and national athletic power San Diego State College. While very few facts can be assimilated into a workable plan of action by the six other CCAA members, i-umors currently running are that they as a group and, in some cases perhaps, individually, are preparing to take counter-measures. "We are surprised that San Diego is making the move, because nothing was said by its representatives at the CAA executive meeting two weeks ago on the week end of the Junior Rose Bowl Arnett and Dr. Stanley Ross, faculty athletic representative, will both be in attendance at Thursday's meeting, at which the situation should be clarified and an Continued on 2nd Sports 23 Valley State Players Hit Scoreboard in Twin Victory Matadors Defeat Westmont, 111-86 By WAYNE WILSON, Sports Editor Twenty-three San Fernando Valley State College basketball players all 13 members of the varsity quad and each of the 10 freshmen scored two or more points in the Matadors' twin triumph over Westmont College at the winners', storthridge gymnasium.
