'Sterling' Winners Announced IS Valley winners in the national "Graduate to Ster- ling'' contest, sponsored by the Sterling Silversmiths of America, will soon be sporting handsome little sterling silver spoon pins.

Among the local girls who soon be receiving pins in their chosen pattern are Wjinia Lannan of 142H Victory Van Nuys, through Berggrcn Jewelers, and Linda Lazear of 7017 Mary Ellen North Hollywood, through Glen D. Meyer, The contest was open to 1361 graduating high school girls. Some 70,000 girls from all over the country entered the contest, with the winners selected in a national drawing held in New York City. First, second and third prizes of $1000, $500 and $250 were awarded for the third year of the "girl graduate 1 contest which offered prizes totaling $25.000 in cash and sterling silver. The girls entered the contest by registering the name of their sterling pattern with a Jocal retailer.
