Eart-47-A North-51-A No.EoiM3-A Tarzana Club Gives Achievement Award Marti Lothers, artist, tcehnical illustrator and designer, was named "Woman oj Achievement 1968" by the Tarzana Business Professional Women's Club at its National Business Women's Week banquet, sponsored by the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs. State Lou Cusanovich, 23rd District, made the MARTI LOTHERS Cited for Leadership presentation in recognition of her civic leadership. She is the wife of Robert D. Lotihers, director of marketing, Adyance Communications, Chatsworth, and mother of Bradley 19, a student of California State Polytechnic College, San Luis Obispo, Douglas 11, and David 7. A free-lance artist and technical Illustrator since 1956, she has been associ- with Rocketdyne, Division of North American Aviation; RCA Service Corp.

and Botech Art Service Corp. She also designs maternity apparel. A Republican party public speaker, the honoree is 1909 nominee for third vice president of the Los Angeles County Federation of Republican Women; is serving her second term as president of the Tarzana Republican Women's Club; has served two terms as its third vice president acted as precinct area chairman of 57th Assembly District. She is an active member of the Mayor's Community Advisory Committee, Third District, and year book chairman of Bethel Lutheran School, Encino. Other citations of the evening included a commendation from Mayor Sam Yorty to the club for its "Accent Awareness Crime Prevention Education Campaign, in cooperation with the mayor's office and tha Los Angeles Police Dept." Also commended was Margaret Milligan, club president.

She is the latest commissioner elected the Los Angeles City Council to the Human Relations Commission and is serving as chairman of the commission's education-schools committee. Both presentations wera made by Eleanor C. Kirkby, administrative coordinator to the mayor. Christmas Luncheon On Holiday Calendar Elizabeth A. Heller and Gertrude J.

Merrick, both Valley residents, will host a German table at the annual Christmas luncheon of the National Business and Professional Women's Club of Los Angeles Sunday, Dec. in the Venetian Room of the Ambassador Hotel. The event begins at 12 noon.
