Fleet Division 11-3 Will Train Naval Reserve Petty Officers Activation ceremonies wftre held last night for Naval Reserve Fleet Division11-3, conducted in the U. S. Naval and Marine Corps Armory at 851 Chavez Ravine Road, Los Angeles, where the new unit will conduct its training program. Commanding officer of Fleet Division 11-3is Lt. Cmdr, J.

R. Greathouse, USNR, of Sher- Jnan Oaks, who has been laying preparatory steps for the unit by direction of the Eleventh Naval District "The Fleet Reserve unit is a new type unit organized to fa cilitate practical petty officers in training of their rates," the commander states. "This concentrated training will take place aboard destroyer-type ships one week end each month.
