The operators of the Billy Erhardt Dance Studios in Van Nuys state, "Knowing how to sing and dance gives people assurance and confidence. It's a social grace that is almost a necessity today. Children who learn to dance are better adjusted and older people get renewed confidence knowing tney can still have a good time if they keep up their dancing." Moved West The studio established at 15317 Roscoe Blvd. over a year ago is the result of a move by the Brhardts from Youngstown, Ohio. Billy Erhardt owned and operated a dance studio which had been turning out students for the past forty years.

Erhardt was 10-years-old when he received a ballet scholarship. He later teamed with his sister Ruth and they danced and toured in almost every major theater and supper club in New York and the East Coast. While living in Gotham, he studied with one of ths city's top ballet masters) Luigi Al- berterie. Met at Studio The brother and sister act broke up when sister Ruth married. Back in Youngstown, where his family had moved from nearby Pittsburgh, Ohio, Billy Erhardt opened his first studio.

It was at his first studio that he met his wife-to-be. Thirty-five years ago, Thelma Erhardt answered a want-ad for a piano accompanist at the studio. They were married two years later.
