Sachar, an educator and administrator, died Tuesday, (July 12, 1994) at Jewish Hospital after a brain hemorrhage. She was 55. Ms. Sachar, of Creve Coeur, had been an admissions officer and mathematics teacher at Mary. Institute since 1963.

After the school merged in 1991 with St. Louis Country Day School she took on the additional duty of director of financial aid. From 1969 to 1976, she was dean of sions at Mary Institute. Ms. Sachar was born in St.

Louis. She graduated from Mary Institute, then earned a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and a master's degree from Washington University.
