A doctor was called, the thumb amputated and the mutilated fingers dressed and he is now getting along as well as could be expected under the circumstances. Mr. Puterbaugh is a young man about 19 years of age and can illy afford the pass of time required for the recovery from this accident, to say nothing of a crippled hand during the remainder of his life. Let this accident be a warning to all parties engaged in saw mills.
