They also had a grand time traveling together, two highlights of which were cruising through the Panama Canal and through the Hawaiian Islands.

Norris passed away in February, 2005. Eileen Hinds is survived by her children: Billy Max Triplett of League City; Carol Triplett Logan of Austin; Betsy Triplett Her husband, Bill, preceded her in death in 2003. Her only sibling, John Adam Rasbach, of Florida died in 1992. i Jeannette is survived by daughters, Martha Moore and husband Douglas of Odessa, Mary Ellen Calley and husband Kenneth of Odessa, JoAnn Petzold and husband John of Houston, grandchildren, Shaun Moore of Midland, Kim Moore of Seattle, WA, Nesi Moore of Odessa, Kate Moore of Odessa, Clinton Calley of Odessa, Mark Calley of Austin, Jason Petzold of Houston, great-grandchildren, Brice Moore and Brittney Rice, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Nora Fitch officiating. Memorials may be made to Presbyterian Women, First Presbyterian Church, Odessa. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Brothers: Joe Araiza and wife Linda, Fernando Araiza and wife Tillie, Sister: Patricia Bustos and husband Manuel all of Odessa.

The family settled in Waco, where they were active in church and community affairs. Eileen graduate ed in 1932 from Southwestern University in' Georgetown, Texas, where she met her future husband, Max Triplett They married in October, 1940, and had four children: Billy Max, Carol, Betsy, and PattL Eileen enjoyed a long career in education, teaching various grades and speech, but her favorite subject was English literature which she taught at Wink High SchooL She also loved directing the annual one-act play for UIL competition. She retired from the Wink ISD in 1985. One of her greatest honors as a teacher was to be initiated into the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, an international honorary sorority for teachers. She was active in DKG chapters in Wink and then in Odessa.

Eileen also deeply believed in the work of Federated Women's Clubs and was a member of the local club wherever she lived, including the Pioneer Study Club of Odessa. Besides education and civic work, Eileen was passionate about traveling, a love instilled by her parents. She took great pride in having visited every on of the fifty states, as well as many European countries and the Holy Lands. Shortly after retiring, Eileen moved to the Parks Methodist Retirement Village in Odessa, where she immediately became involved in activities. A lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, she joined the First UMC in Odessa where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class.

The greatest joy of her golden years was her marriage to Norris Hinds who also lived at the Parks. They married December 23, 1999. Their years together were :6 Jeannette Windiate Butler ODESSA Jeannette Butler, 82, of Odessa, Texas passed away Monday, September 25, 2006 at her residence. Jeannette was born to John and Geraldine Rasbach in Flint, Michigan. She attended Flint Junior College and Stephens College in Missouri.

In 1945 she married William Edward Butler of Oklahoma. They came to Odessa in early 1951 with Shell Oil Co. to raise their three daughters. Jeannette was employed by the White Insurance Agency and as a caseworker for the Texas Welfare Dept. Bill and Jeannette moved with Shell Oil to Kalkaska, Michigan in 1974.

After seven years, they retired in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Bill's childhood home. Jeannette's last ten years were spent in Odessa. Jeannette was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and an avid bridge player. She was a Girl Scout leader and a member of the Child Study Club. Jeannette was a gracious lady who was a role model for her daughters, her granddaughters and their friends.

Consuelo 'Connie' Palomino ODESSA Consuelo "Connie" Palomino, 69, of Odessa died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at her residence. A rosary will be said at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Odessa INVITACION LOS PADRES Hurt and spouse Buzz Hurt of Odessa; Patricia Triplett Hatcher and spouse James Hatcher of Pleasanton; Beth Hinds Birdsong of Seattle.

Her family includes her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Rachel Triplett Mahserjian, spouse Sam Mahserjian, and son Samuel; Ian Logan; Thomas Triplett, spouse Elizabeth Triplett, and daughter Emma Rae Ann; Joseph Hatcher; Amy Hatcher; James Birdsong, spouse Barbara Birdsong, and children, Jack, Hannah, and Max; Rebecca Birdsong. She is also survived by her brother, Carl Carpenter, Jr. of Dallas, and her nephews, Lewis Carpenter and Riley Carpenter. In addition to her family, Eileen is survived by many dear friends at the Parks, First United Methodist Church, the Pioneer Study Club, and Delta Kappa Gamma. Funeral service will be at Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev.

Terry Tamplin officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family is grateful for the loving care provided by Dr. Anne Acreman, Home Hospice and Parks Methodist Retirement Village. Services are entrusted to Frank W.

Eula Lee Briggs ODESSA Eula Lee Briggs, 74, of Odessa died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at Medical Center Hospital. Services are pending with Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels Crematory. Eileen Triplett Hinds ODESSA Jessie Eileen Carpenter was bom on February 27, 1914, to Jessie Ann and Carl Lee Carpenter in Killeen, Texas. NOTICES Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Wednesday at St. Martin's Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will take place at a later time.

Hubert D. Wilson ANDREWS Hubert D. Wilson 73, of Andrews, a retired diesel mechanic for Rip Griffin Truck Stop, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m.

Wednesday at Andrews West Cemetery with the Rev. Dwayne Wheat officiating. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home. He was born in Stonewall Santiago H. Jimmy' Araiza ODESSA Santiago H.

"Jimmy" Araiza, 45, of Odessa, passed away, Friday September 22, 2006, at University Medical Center Hospital in Lubbock. He was born June 20, 1961 in Pecos, Texas to Encarnacion and Maria H. Araiza. He was a 1979 graduate of Odessa High School. A Christian and a Technician for Energas Atmos for 20 Years where he was past Presidents of the Safety Committee, and the Christmas in April Organization.

He united in marriage to Patricia Campo October 27, 2001 here in Odessa. He is preceded in death by Father: Encarnacion Araiza, Brother Alberto Araiza and both Maternal and Paternal Grandparents. He is survived by Wife: Patricia Araiza of Odessa, Daughters: Vanessa Araiza of Pensacola, Florida, Crystal A Araiza of Odessa, Mother: Maria H. Araiza of Odessa, Marta G. Gonzalez, 80, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, in Fort Stockton. 'A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.

Deborah Ann King ODESSA Deborah Ann King, 49, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Hospice House.
