Zone Change Asked for Gas Station A major oil company is interested in leasing property on the southwest corner of Saticoy St. and Owensmouth Canoga Park, the City Planning Commission was told Tuesday during a public hearing held in the Van 'Nuvs American Legion club- 1 house. The report was made by Mrs. Arthur F. Madigan of 7329 Owensmouth one of the property owners.

The parcel, which has a frontage of 160 feet on Saticoy St. and 150 feet on Owens- mouth is vacant, Mrs. Madigan told J. Harry Jobe, city planner. The property js zoned as R-l one family dwelling.

The owners are seeking a zone change to C-2 to permit the operation of a gasoline service station. Mrs. Madigan said a survey indicated the need for such a service to car owners. A check indicated 957 cars passing through the intersection within one hour, she -disclosed. The rezoning request was uncontested.

The Commission will notify property owners of its decision following a Los Angeles hearing on Feb. 27.
