The big breakthrough this season in swim fashions, especially for the younger set, has been in the application of real fashion colors and issues to suits designed for swimming not just posing. Members of Burmar Club On Vacations Vacations and parties are consuming the summer leisure of Burmar Mother's Club members. She attended Birmingham High school and UCLA. They have set Aug. 17 as their wedding date at St. Cyril's Church. Fraternity Chartering New Chapter Two Valley women are charter officers of the new Phi Upsilon Omicron Chapter instituted on the campus of California State College at Los Angeles.

They are Nancy Baranowski of Panorama City who will serve as corresponding secretary and Jeane Namba of North Hollywood, recording secretary. The Greek letter group, national fraternity for women in home economics was founded in 1909 a requires that members be in the upper two-fifths' of their class and possess a professional attitude toward the home economics profession. The Cal State unit is the 57th collegiate chapter to be formed. Other officers of the group are Toni Chiarenza, president; Pat Moramarco, vice president; Margaret Page, treasurer; Judy Opel, chaplain; Suzanne Itoyer, historian; Carol Woo, librarian, and Patti Brewer, reporter. John R. Roots of Van Nuys on their 25th wedding anniversary. Given at the Van Nuys home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Fluke, the celebration was attended by 30 friends and relatives of the honorees including their five grandchildren.
