Vinita uel company The official vote was: No 1063 Yes 564 The franchise which was pre pared by company officials under the supervision of the city council was for 15 years but included a clause whereby the city could purchase the lines at the end of any 5 year period if it desired Also included in the franchise was a two percent city tax on gross revenues of the company which was estimated meeting of farmers and merchants with their families was held Tues day night at the farm home of Mr and Mrs Sheridan Hollandsworth five miles west of Seneca An en tertaining program consisting of music by a male quartet Keith Boehning Lewellyn and Adams and several numbers by string band and trio A talk by Norris and short talks by others All business men present number ing about 15 were introduced Mike Cooper was master of ceremonies At the close of the program ice cream was served to about 125 per sons Such meetings as this are very beneficial in creating a good feeling of in the grade schools and the high school Wednesday Aug 28 be ginning at 9 am the sen iors and juniors of the high school will appear at the office in the high school for en rollment Thursday Aug 29 kitchen Saturday from the kitchen stove and (for awhile it looked serious The flames were between the roof and the ceiling and it was necessary to tear out both roof and ceiling to get at the fire A
