Special Monday evening, Dec. 20, will mark the lighting of the beautiful Christmas display at the home of Frank J. Iten on Bluff boulevard. A program of Christmas carols and other musical numbers is being prepared for the opening.

Work on preparing the magnificent Christmas display is going forward rapidly. The lights will be turned on nightly until the first of the year. WILTON, la. (Special) James Vincent McClimon, 66, committed suicide Sunday morning by hanging at his home three miles north of DeWitt. The body was found in the barn by his son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs Francis McClimon, when they returned from church.

Members of the family were unable to ascribe a motive for the act. Dr. L. O. Riggert, Clinton county coroner, said that no inquest would be held.

The decedent was born Oct. 7, 1871 in Dunmore, and was married In Petersville, Feb. 16, 1898. His wife preceded him in death nine years, Mr McClimon had resided on the same farm for 22 years. Surviving besides the son are four the bench, were drawn here.

At an inquest conducted by Coroner J. O. Stevenson Sunday (afternoon, the jury returned a verdict of accidental death. Mell Powell, the only witness to the accident testified that he motioned to Pont to stop because of an approaching train. Pont stopped, he eaid, but his truck was already on the crossing.

Claude Earl Pont was born Dec. 23, 1909 in Annawan township and received his education in the An? nawan schools, being graduated from the high school in 1930. He was prominent in basketball and oft ball circles in this area. Surviving are his parents; one Bister. Mrs Lillian Wells of Annawan: three brothers, Roy and Samuel, both of Annawan and Albert of Atkinson.

Second in the grain judging was Harry Arp, and third was Alvin Hoist. In the livestock judging, Arthur Guy and Eldon Hoist tied for second; while Albert Kay and Alvin Hoist tied for third.

Fitzpatrick funeral home in West Branch; Opal Kieni. Mecnanici- Charles Bell of Eldridge, has received word of the death of his brother, George Bell, 70, a former resident of this vicinity, who died at his home in LuVeme, after a short illness. E. Anderson will officiate and burial will be in Woodhull cemetery. Wilhelmina Johnson was born in Sweden, May 4, I860, and at the age of seven years came to the United States. She married Swan Swanson March 1, 1881. He died In 1923.

The couple resided on a farm until 17 years ago when they moved to Woodhull. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs Mildred Thayer of Woodhull; three sons, Earl and George, both of Woodhull, and Fred of Galesburg; 10 grandchildren and two agent leader, met with the township and county home project officers and leaders and assisted in settling up goals toward which Cedar county farm women, participating in the Home Furnishing course, will work this year. Scholl and they are the parents of six children; Mrs Charles Collins and Mrs Ivor Lortz of Williamsburg; Fred of Des Moines, Ray of Cedar Rapids, and Mary and Alice of the home; and six grandchildren, Mrs Scholl died Feb. 22, 1936, three sisters, Mrs Frank Strackbein, Mrs Albert Strackbein, both of Big Rock and Mrs George Kroh of Wheatland; four brothers, Louis, Mrs Mabel DeWitt, Former Resident Of Annawan Dies ANNAWAN, III. (Special) Mrs MaM DeWitt, former resident of Annawan, died at her home in Newton, Friday, following a lingering illness, according to word received here by relatives. She was born in Annawan Jan.

4. 1873 and received her education here. She married Harry DeWitt June 4, 1893. Included in the survivors are two brothers, Fred and John Williams, both of Annawan and two sisters, Mrs Fannie Harris and Mrs Eliza-be Eyer. Funeral rites were held in Newton today.
