DOWAN-HENDERSON NUPTIALS READ The wedding of Miss Louise Cowan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burral Cowan, and Mr. Joe HenMerson of' Tulsa, son of Mrs. Anna Henderson 'of, Council.

Hill, was quietly solemnized in a beautiful ring ceremony, which was read by Rev. Barnett, pastor of the First Baptist Church at Elm Grove Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. The bride wore. 'a sofly tailored frock of winter white crepe with black accessories. Only relatives and intimate friends were present at the ceremony.

The young couple will make their home in Tulsa. The groom is graduate of the Council HIll high school. The bride was attendIng the Checotah schools at the time of her marriage. CLUB HAS ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY Mrs. John McCann entertained Monday night for members of her bridge club at the annual Christmas party. A lovely dinner was served preceding the games. Mrs. Lou Sharpe scored high and won the bridge prize.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Madewell had as their guests last week, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Phillips and sons, Mrs.

Nellie Madewell of Hughson, Calif. and Lt. and Mrs. Harry Smith and daughter of Junction City, Kansas. Lt.

and Mrs. Smith are also visiting Mrs. Smith's brother, Cpl. Madewell, and Mrs. Madewell in Ft.
