Tennessee Solon, Jere Cooper Dies WA-SHINGTON, Dec. J8 (UP)-Rep. Jere Cooper ol Tennessee, chairman of the powerful tax- writing House Ways Means Committee, died tonight of a severe heart attack. He was 64. Cooper died at the Belhesda, Md.
