The three Scott Camil of Gainesville, John Kniffin of Austin, and Peter Mahoney of New York City have been held on $25,000 bond each since Friday, when they were indicted along with three others for allegedly conspiring to violently disrupt the Republican convention, One of the other three indicted veterans, Donald Perdue of Hollywood, surrendered to the U.S. magistrate in Dade County Monday and is being held on $25,000 bond at Dade County Jail. Of the other two, Alton Foss, Dade County VVAW coordinator, was freed from Dade County Jail last Friday after putting up his Hialeah home in lieu of $25,000 bond.

Six of those 23 were indicted Friday on federal charges of planning to disrupt the GOP sessions by using automatic weapons, firebombs, fried marbles, wrist-rocket slingshots and crossbows. The four refused to testify before the grand jury last week, arguing that the entire probe was illegal.

After a court hearing, the four were found in contempt and were sent to jail for 18 months or the duration of the grand jury probe whichever was shorter so long as they continued to refuse to testify. Attorneys for the four appealed the sentences on the grounds that a full hearing was not afforded the verer-ans, that the questions they refused to answer were not read into the record, and that the judge did not make a finding on whether the veterans should be required to answer the specific questions they were asked. Foss, who also was arrested here on federal charges last Friday, was seized at his home in Hialeah at about 3:30 p.m. yesterday and placed in Dade County Jail.

Last Friday night, Foss was arrested by federal agents after he and five other VVAW leaders were indicted by a federal grand jury in Tallahassee for allegedly conspiring to violently disrupt the Republican convention in Miami Beach next Imonth. Foss was released on the federal charge Friday evening after he put up his home, at 5415 E. 45th Hialeah, in lieu of $25,000 cash bond. Metro police officials said yesterday that the arrest on drug charges was unrelated to the federal case and was in no way time to coincide with the federal grand jury indictment, which names five others. The police sources said the arrest on the drug charges was based primarily on evi- dence gathered by two police undercoverr agents who had infiltrated the Dade chapter of the WAW and allegedly purchased three tabs of LSD from Foss at his home July 1.

With each player picking up half a point on the draw, the score is 212-l12 in the Russian's favor. The fifth match In the 24-game series is tomorrow at 1 p.m.

Fischer had the white pieces yesterday and with them the first move and led off with his favorite Sozin attack, P-K4. The Russian pulled a surprise by counter-attacking aggressively and sacrificing a pawn to open up useful lines of attack. "Spasskys got a lot of guts," said U.S. grandmaster Robert Byrne. "He may be going for a win." After quickly making the first few moves, the two settled down to a dogged pace and the neon "silence" sign flashed repeatedly as the audience fidgeted.

Spassky appeared to have the edge after about four hours, then Fischer pinned the Russian's queen against his king and forced a swap of queens. Left with a game of rooks and bishops of different colors, Spassky was running out of time, and soon after the two called it a draw. Fischer needs 12 w2 points to win the world title and Spassky needs 12 points to retain it. One point is awarded for a win and half a point for a draw.
