MARKETS JYew York Stocks NEW YORK (AP) American Moiors spurted ahead on huge volume Thursday in an irregularly lower slock market. More than a quarter million shares of American Motors Stock was traded as the price rose following news the firm had declared a 60-cent quarterly dividend. The dividend will be the first cash dividend since American Motors was formed in 1954 by a merger of Hudson Motor Co. with Nash-Kelvinator. Wall Street had expected a dividend but a smaller one, possibly 50 cents.
