J.C. Stevenson of Chariton, former resident of Seymour, fell recently and broke her hip. She is at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital. She is 100 years old. Homer Van Dyne met his wife, Frances, at the Des Moines Airport last Thursday afternoon.

Mrs. Van Dyne, who had fallen and broke her hip in California, has made an excellent recovery and stood the trip back home well. The younger Mrs. Bob Van Dyne of Davis, their daughter-in-law, has recovered rapidly from her surgery and is back home, we are happy to report. Mrs.

Loy McMurry was released from the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield and is recuperating at home. She has had lots of callers and cards since coming home.

Those who visited her Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Thatcher, Mr. and Mrs. Pearl McMurry and his mother, Mrs.

Marjorie McMurry, Neva Robinson, and Margaret Darrah of Corydon; Mr. and Mrs. Dana Alexander of Derby; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Carpenter of Bethlehem; and Mrs.

Mary Mattly. We hope she continues to improve. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Philips and son, David, of Iowa City and Ethel Philips were Sunday Lineville News Mr.

and Mrs. Kenneth Adair and Kenny attended funeral services for Novia Adair Wednesday afternoon at Leon. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery at Lineville where the Garden Grove Legion had charge of military services. Tommy Fleming and Jeff Stiles of L.C. played taps.

Mrs. Cora Callow and Libby Brown from Waukeegan, Illinois came Wednesday to spend a few days with Ethel Myers. Mrs. Myers and her guests visited in the Guy Willoby home at Chariton on Friday. Alvin Evans, proprietor of Evans Grocery in Lineville was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital at Trenton, Thursday.

Mrs. Evans reported Sunday night that he is improving. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Johnson and sons of Princeton visited in the Evans home Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Johnston and Debra called on his mother, Mrs. Iva Johnston, Friday afternoon. Mr.

and Mrs. Ernie Brandon were in Green City, Missouri Sunday attending funeral services for a cousin of Ernie's, Kayle Ensley. The Jack Muilenburg family and the Lyle Beaver family were dinner guests Sunday in the Wayne Zintz home at Piano. Mr. and Mrs.

Ernie McMurry and Maggie Pray visited Monday with Mrs. Flora McMurry at Seymour. The pre-Easter meetings in the Methodist church in Miller ton were well attended by the community. The message by Rev. Foxworthy and the picture drawn by Rev.

Williamson were well received and appreciated by all. We especially wish to compliment the young people for their support both in the choir and their attendance. John Thompson spent part of last week attending an insurance meeting in Des Moines. Mr. and Mrs.
